Batch 4 i believe (2015). This stuff is fire, the hotness. Amazing geuzesque quality. Super tart aroma, but nicely balance flavor with nice acetic character topped with oak. Drinks like a young Lou pepe Geuze. I would buy the sh*t out of this.

This is very tart in the nose, it has a very earthy, natural mineral quality. The tart is reminiscent of lemon rinds and there's a hint of Orange. The flavor is sour and tart but very smooth and enjoyable. Lemon and lemongrass, white wine or Chardonnay there is a natural earth tone at the finish.

750ml bottle poured into a stemmed glass 11/28/2014.

A- Hazy light orange body, two finger white head that drops quickly into a half finger white foamy head with nice retention time. No lacing. [3.75]

S- A good dose of Brettanomyces- leather, lemon funk- nice tartness, wheat aromas, dried stone fruits, earthy, floral hops. Nice solid complexity with a nice intensity to it. [4.25]

F- Leather, citrusy lemon funk, sour wheat, grassiness, dried mango and apricot. Not acidic in particular, but rather more tart. Mild oak presence. Some earthy lemon zest on the finish. Tasty, nice complexity. [4.25]

M- Medium bodied, on the thinner side. Dry finish with the oak and lemon. Easy to drink. [4.25]

O- Good stuff. Tart, not sour, nice fruit aromas and flavours that add more complexity. Solid Brettanomyces funk that overall enhances the drinking experience. [4.25]

Batch 3. 750ml foiled and capped bottle into Tired Hands stemware. Shared by schen9303.

Pours a 1.5 finger foamy white head with moderate retention. Beer is a clear grapefruit. Lacing is spotty and sparse with little stick but nice, oily legs. A bit above average.

Nose is a blend of citrus, peppercorn, cobwebs, yeast, lemon zest and foamy. Aromatic and quite unique. I've never experienced anything else like this beer.

Opens citrus, peppercorn, kitchen spices, herbal and prunes. More prune and yeast in the middle with a puckering, lemony tartness. Woody towards the end with an ample medicinal tart and peppery finish and aftertaste. Extremely unique.

Light to medium bodied with ample carbonation. Aggressive on the palate and accented and coarse going down. Finishes slick and filmy with a lingering, juicy aftertaste. Solid.

To say that this is a great tasting beer wouldn't be correct. I'm actually not a huge fan of this. However, OEC definitely gets credit for creating one of the most unique beers I've ever had. It's not bad... the flavor combination is just very polarizing.
