L - a dark muddy brown. Doesn't look much like a stout, more like a giant brown ale.

S - wine out the ass in front. Not getting much stout. Tart cherry.

T - rich, chocolatey cherry. Dark fruity notes from the wine. Extremely rich and decadent. Slight sweetness from the wooden barrels perhaps? Wild Brett sour twang. Has a satisfying dryness that wraps it all up.

F - it honestly didn't look that thick, but man was I surprised when this liquid touches my lips. Smooth, low carb, thick and chewy. An absolute delight.

O - great beer from OEC. A little rough around the edges, but fun to drink.

Pour is black with a bubbly beige head. Nose has some lightly roasted malt up front, faint ash, some red grape and citrus. Flavor is a bit more ashy, strong roasted malt, light bile, with a bit of citrus through the finish. Strong carbonation on a bit of a messy body, flavors seem all over the place, very flabby feel and taste.

Recoiled when this hit my tongue. Not at all what I've come to expect from OEC. Tasted like worcershire sauce.

Thanks to Thomas and Jenny for sharing this one!
Dark brownish black, pours placidly with a thin ring of froth around the edges.
Aroma is rich and complex, vinous dark fruit, funky wet wood, dark chocolate roast.
It's rich tasting, potent and mildly tart with a lot of dark berries, woody notes, and slight umami savoriness. Full bodied and chewy with low carbonation, vinous feel. Very unique, it's complex and interesting, reminiscent of a wine barrel-aged Oud Bruin.
