16oz glass from the brewery – 10.09.15

Says this is brewed with experimental hop 05256 which is now coined Eureka I believe.

Unfiltered straw gold. Has that East Coast turbid IPA look. Maybe sans any pulp. Thin fizzy foam capper with minimal stick or hang time to it really. Perhaps it’s the glassware.
I get some dark green berry notes and a bit of jumbled citrus fruit with mild dank. Not particularly aromatic or distinctive in what is going on here. Flavor is much the same with some muted green berry, citrus and dank qualities. Malt is cracker like and balancing.
Very light and crisp on the palate with a nice drying sensation. Mild resinous linger to it.
Another easy drinker but again had me wanting for some more hop supremacy.

Color is a light golden with plenty of foam in the tall Maredsous glass. Hugely fragrant with pine and overripe papaya. Sprizty on the tongue and the carbonation lasts well out of the growler filled two days ago. Some sweetness and a nice malty body.

This has a sensational aromatic character that creates a whole hoppy aura before the bitterness gets much of a grip. The brewer told me the hops are Centennial, Chinook, and Zythos. There is a distinct browned biscuit taste along with the waves of fruit. Some mango and grilled pineapple, as well as a bitter resiny pine taste.

Moderate bitterness with a light, sudsy body that is quite delicious. There is a little restraint, but it's still plenty bitter and probably overhopped for anything but a big IPA. From the 32 oz jug filled at the brewery on Claremont Mesa.
