12oz bottle. No dating found. Label lists awards from 2014, 2018, and 2020.
Deep brown colored body. One finger of tan, small bubble head. Spots and partial sheets of lacing.
Aroma is intense with peanut paste. Roasted malts also.
Taste is chocolate and roasted malts, and then the peanut flavor arrives. The peanut flavor is what remains in the after taste. From mid point on there is a sharper flavor that is the essence of high peanut domination. After the mouth adjusts, the flavors combine to be rather sweet.
Medium mouth feel, and slightly creamy. Good carbonation.
A porter that is highly infused with peanut, but the flavors get a little sweet as the bottle's contents are imbibed.

The peanut taste is just way too dominant for me. Other than that, it's a great brew. It looks great! It smells fantastic (if you like peanut) and feels good!

Lighter black with a tan bubbly ring. Roasted malt, toast and peanut butter on the smell. Taste has bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, peanut butter, toast, but it has some metallic flavors. Body is thin, roasted, ighly carbonated and sharp to the point that it distracts from the peanut butter flavoring.

Not sure how folks go into a peanut butter porter and not expect either a sweet candy beer to me I love sweet and get sad when I see a peanut butter beer taste like powdered peanut butter Whey protein. This one fired in the right direction with liquid sweet peanut butter goodness with just a hint of chocolate and an almost brown malt like finish slightly herbal. I had to do a double take since I could have sworn it read porter and it does. Body is light to medium kind of slick but it does fault from a tad bit of over carbonation. Overall for what it is the beer has its flaws but its damn close to what it advertises BRAVO!

Unknown vintage; drank 4/28/19 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dark brown appearance.

A rough pour yielded a HUGE tan head (careful pouring!); thick, frothy lace.

Peanut butter, milk chocolate, mild hoppiness & faint fresh notes in the nose.

Medium mouthfeel with lots of carbonation bite.

Sweet peanut butter & milk chocolate flavors up front; mild hop bite & faint fresh earth notes on the finish.

A bit of a mess; VERY sweet with too much carbonation. It's not an abomination, but it's not a beer I'll have again either.

I like it, but I'm not sure I like it any more than sweet baby jesus which it tastes exactly the same as... but at twice the price.

Had this on tap at Jungle Jim's Friday Pint Night. Could barely finish it; was like drinking liquified peanuts, I like peanuts, but not a whole pint of them! I think I will stick to drinking beers that taste like beer.

Poured on Nitro at the Listermann's/Triple Digit brewery. Peanut butter is more dominant than chocolate, and more nutty than butter. But overall very impressive

Just....holy shit...
Probably the best porter I have ever had the pleasure of drinking, its so smooth....smooth is probably an understatement.
The beer thick... oily...buttery..... and damn is it good.... I almost wanted to try serving this warm instead of cold.
The peanut flavor is hidden inside the beer, coming a few seconds after the beer has been in your mouth.
however the smell is not hidden at all, it lets you know the business right off the bat.
I can taste that peanut malt flavor in my mouth an hour after drinking this beer and I love it.
Nutcase is a great name for this offering!

Had on-tap at the Yard House in Cincinnati. Poured into a pint glass.

L: Clear dark mahogany brown pour. Nearly black with 2 fingers of foamy tannish head.

S: Roast grains and peanut butter. Earthy.

T/F: Semi-sweet roasted. Cocoa and espresso, and a sstrong peanut butter flavor towards the finish. Nutty and earthy. Mild hopping saves it from being cloying. Medium bodied... perhaps a little thin for a peanut butter themed beer.

O: This delivers what it promises..... so if you like porters and enjoy peanut butter... chances are you'll enjoy this brew. A fun treat but not one I'd drink every day.

Poured into a Wicked Weed snifter. No freshness date.

A- Pours a mostly opaque black color with a 1/2 inch dark tan head that retains well before becoming a thick ring around the edge of the glass and a half sheet of sheer surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves large clots behind.

S- Intense creamy peanut butter aroma. Sweet and milky.

T- Taste is nutty as well but isn't quite like the aroma as there are other things in play like vanilla and milk chocolate. Kind of like a peanut butter dessert but there's enough roastiness to keep it from being cloying. Also the ABV is hidden quite well.

M- Typical porter feel with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the fuller side. Also slightly slick.

O- Pretty good for what it is, but not something I would reach for more than once.

This is a pretty straightforward peanut brown-like porter, nutty in its own right, medium-light body, but readily delivering peanut flavor. The real move is to blend this with some Liefman's Fruitesse, and you'll make yourself possibly the best PB&J beer around.

12oz silk-screened bottle marked 6.7% ABV, no discernible date.

Pours a very dark brown with quite a bit of light coming through the edges. A fluffy khaki head sticks around for a little while and then thins quite a bit, but at least stays throughout the beer. Mouthfeel is pretty average for the style, but the flavor is what is distracting.

Aroma is of peanut, sweet malt and a slight metallic tinge I always seem to find present in these sort of brews, nonetheless, very pleasing. The flavor is much the same, but a bit cloying on the sweet malt side. I won't knock it on the fact that it seems to stick around on your palate, as you should probably expect that from a dessert beer like this.

Overall, I found this very tasty and would recommend that you try if you ever get a chance.

Pours a dark chocolate color. Aroma is nutty. Flavor is peanut butter with a nice roasty malt profile. Has a medium body mouthfeel and overall very good.

Bottle, no date. DFH snifter.

Appearance: dark brown with dons glints of ruby at edges. Khaki 1 finger head faded to a thin ring.

Smell: peanut, peanut butter! Really awesome peanutty smell.

Taste: slightly sweet arrival, loads of peanut butter, transitioning to s fairly complex mildly roasted malt middle with a very hoppy, slightly fruity end. Some lingering peanut but pretty clean finish.

Mouthfeel: midweight, moderate carbonation. Clean finish.

Overall: this is interesting as an oddity, but something about it is really repulsive to me. My apologies to the friend who gave it to me but I don't care for it. Glad I tried it.
