This is a cool little place with great vibe. A plus is that it is kid friendly, with out-of-towners in mind. The Tickle Pickle has great burgers on site. I loved the Rob Zomwich paired with their saison. Of course the beer is also great. I only wish they had more selections to-go.
I will return, next time I am in town.

Medium-sized taproom space with smaller bar area; has attached/in-house decent burger joint. Across the street from the Xavier University campus.
The best beers here are the darks: browns, porters, Imperial stouts. Three of the four beers in my flight, plus the 10-oz snifter I ordered of a fifth beer, were all quite good. I especially enjoyed the Smoked Porter (2023 edition).
The bigger space is comfortable till Trivia Night takes over, then my buddy and I had to move to the smaller bar area to even be able to hear each other.
I’ll go back.

Not at all what I was expecting, funky old building located on street across from Xavier University. Looks like an old college bar, kind of shabby, not in a bad way. Mix of the old bar, high tables, picnic tables and a narrow patio on a busy street. And those taps! Way too many to choose from. No food.

Best craft in Cincinnati. Great for pre-Xavier U. Basketball game lubricant. 16 taps, all brewed in house. Pub chow made in house, as well as home brewing supplies on hand.

I don't know what I was expecting, but I just wasn't expecting this brewery to be a hip little one-ish story building covered in graffiti inside and out, with a cozy skinny bar right at the entrance.
The taplist is pretty varied and long, including all sorts of different styles, from clean, to barrel aged, and even some seltzers and actual frozen slushies.
Once you get your beer you can hang in the rather warm taproom, or go up into the larger communal space that is full of more hard, cooler surfaces. There is a lot of space to spread your legs, two huge lines of picnic tables, and there's also a window at which to order some tasty homemade style food options.

Visited on a Tuesday afternoon before dinner on the way to the airport. Sat in the bar, which was full.
I will definitely visit again.
V - Right near Xavier University. Parking might a challenge at times. Definitely a beer vibe, but rather low rent style of décor, etc. 4.25
Q - Excellent beers. 4.25
Ser - Sat at a table in the bar area. No table service there, but the bartender was nice and helpful. 4.0
Sel - A standard chalkboard of beers but not standard beers. I had four different styles and all were good regardless of my preferences. Something for everyone when I visited. 4.5

Went on a weeknight. Was wearing a UC hoodie; they're across the street from XU, which may explain why the bartender sold me one beer and never came back. Also I'm in my 60's so I suppose I didnt look 'cool'. I really did like my bear (562) and would have liked another, but damn, us old guys want to be taken care of too! The locals had dogs there, which made me wish I brought mine.

This brewery is right across the street from a university, so i am SURE they get a lot of business that way. However, they also have fundraisers, the ones i love include dogs/cats. LOL. I can usually find one or 2 beers I like. And the fact that they have a food truck company that will have a permanent kitchen on site makes it even better.

Had a great, inexpensive flight of beers. Service was fantastic. Only downside was no food, but you can bring it in with you. Decent selection of their own beers on tap. One or two special variants. Bottles for sale. Will stop again when in town.

There's a lot of room here for drinking, but there is currently no food on site (nor food trucks). Tap list was about 10-12 Listermann/Triple Digit brews. Bartender was friendly and personable.

I made my second voyage to Listermann/Triple Digit last weekend to meet up with some friends. We went there last year even though my buddy said he heard it wasn't good. I wanted to try the Nutcase and Chickow! I talked him into it, and it happened to be the release day for barrel aged Chickow! Now it is my buddy's favorite greater Cincinnati area brewery. But I digress.
We met around noon on Friday. The taproom wasn't busy, which is how I like it. The bar has four stools, and there are two or three large picnic tables as far as seating goes. It is a small tasting room. There is a homebrew supply area in the back. I ordered a flight of four beers. The Chickow! on nitro was great. The IPA's were okay. Sometimes a small sample is hard to judge.
Talking with my friends from the area and the bartender I learned that they are in the process of expanding the taproom which is much needed. Twenty people would make this place feel crowded as is.
I do really like the dark beers this place puts out. I am new to the lighter beers from them and will definitely revisit. It will be worth another visit after the renovation is done.

Stopped by Listermann's during a Cincy beer visit. The place did not match my expectations. I'd had some really good beers, like Chickow, and was expecting a decent facility. Unfortunately, the quality of the facility does not match the quality of the beers. Good beers in a run down looking place. Parking lot was pure mud on the day I visited. Be sure to wear your boots. Inside was small and bare. Good service, but a really small selection. Not really worth going out of your way to visit.
Edit Nov 2017: Listermann has really done a lot of work to improve their facility. Kudos to the team.

Three beers I had were all extremely flavorful. They don't brew ordinary beers. Definitely pushing the beer envelope in Cincinnati.

Small taproom but very nice atmosphere. Good beers on tap and you can buy bottles and growlers to go. Super friendly staff who sit and chat with you while you drink. Very impressed with listermanns.

I'm local and this is my favorite Cincinnati brewery by far. In the early days, it was mostly homebrew supplies and a small bar with almost no seating. Plastic cups and one small TV. It's grown a ton and fast, mostly to the fact that they are lined around the block for their special IPA releases on the first Saturday of the month. Cincy has completely lost their minds over these IPA's. They are great, no doubt, but I like a lot of their regular, staple beers. The new look bar and real glassware has really made the drinking experience that much better. The servers are always cool and they throw some of the coolest beer festivals in town. Don't overlook this place on a Cincinnati trip.
