Perfectly clear straw color with a white head that disappears quickly, noble hop and bready malt notes on the nose, and that’s where the taste lands, with a really nice balance between the grassy hop flavors and the bready malt, accompanied by a crisp mouthfeel. Nice lawnmower beer, IMHO.

Medium-hazy golden color with a lingering two-finger head. Pleasant scents of tropical fruit and honeysuckle on the nose. Subtle flavors of orange peel, tangerine and honey on the front palate, with an abrupt, warm finish of slight pine. Crisp feel. Overall a solid pilsner with good character that would go down easy on a hot Vegas day.

Had on draft in-house, 8oz pour into a snifter
Body is corn colored yellow, half inch or so of white head, decent retention but surprisingly no lacing was left
Aroma is light, hmm that’s weird.. getting a slight Brett funk, almost sour herbal notes
Taste is toasty biscuit and some corn, seems to be missing that noble hop character
Feel is thin with prickly carbonation, refreshing, but the finish is very short
Overall this is only my 3rd Pils so far but was sadly disappointed with it, maybe it was old
Forgive me but it was reminiscent of an adjunct

Pours a clear gold with a thick foamy white head from a 12 oz. can. Lots of streaming bubbles of carbonation and lots of nice lacing down the glass.
Smell is real faint but I do pick up the grassy smell of some hops. Something in here has a bit of a metallic smell but again every thing is very faint on the nose.
The taste is very floral hop tones. Nice bitterness coming on the back of the tongue.
Mouth feel is fairly light and watery with a crisp finish that leaves a person going in for another sip.
For Pilsner fans I think Bad Beat has a very nice offering. The beer is actually fairly inoffensive in a number of ways. As a matter of fact I see this as a fairly sessionable beer that you could drink a few of while enjoying some good BBQ with friends on a hot summer day.

This is a challenging style. I think this is close to the mark, the imperfection being a grainy, corn meal finish. It is hoppier than typical for the style lending a sharp bitterness. A solid beer and emanently crushable.

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at the Beerhaus in the New York New York.
Appearance: clear light straw hue with a thin layer of white foam. Not a whole lot here.
Smell: quite grainy with a little sweetness and minimal hops. It's not terrible but it doesn't have a lot to offer.
Taste: sweet and rather grainy, but with a little bite from noble hops. It's OK.
Mouthfeel: light body but well carbonated; creaminess is decent.
Overall: a decent enough Pilsner, but not really special.
