Pours a clear orange, with soft, thin foam. Leaves a crazy amount of lacing.
Smell is bready and malty with a hint of ham and some pine.
Taste starts sweet and malty, really good bready base, that easily carries the mellow bitterness. Really easy to drink.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, a really nice take on a classicc IPA. Not a hop bomb, but very drinkable.

Cask conditioned and manually drawn.
Large bubbled head, but it sticks around (surprisingly). Solid amber color and crystal clear.
Very earthy aroma. Very dry with a bit of soil smell.
A bit watery for the body with an equally low carbonation level. Starts a bit toasty with a lot of biscuit flavor. There's a good hop finish, but not enough to eliminate the strong malt flavors. The aftertaste is short, as expected, but is perfectly appropriate for the style.

Appearance A polite and friendly enough barmaid pulls a clear, dark yellow served with a finger of white head which dissipates within two minutes. Looking closely at the brew I notice towers of bubbles here and there, racing towards the surface like a scuba divers exhalation bubbles.
Smell An intriguing melange of butterscotch, malty sweetness/aroma and fir sap.
Taste The most perplexing aspect of the this particular ale. Includes butterscotch, fir sap and needles, nuts, spices (especially cloves and nutmeg, notes that bring my memory back to the spice vendors at Darajani Market in Zanzibar) and a finishing twist of bitter orange. Plenty of bitter and biting hops too of course.
Mouthfeel Medium, smooth carbonation that gently tickle my tongue. A hoppy bitterness on both sides and the back of my tongue astringently contorting it.
Overall Our landing site of the day is british styled pub Black and Brown, a great pub with traditionally a good selection of beers and nowadays luckily carrying a whole range of Swedish micro brewed beer. I’ve overlooked Nynäshamn microbrewery for a much too long a time I realize. It’s the closest thing I got to a “local” microbrewery anyways. Their beers definitely have their own distinct style and flavor, I like this beer a lot but it’s background flavors are new to me so I need to digest them in order to give it a fair review.

Bottle at Oliver Twist in Stockholm. From notes.
A - Half finger of white head poured on a bright, golden/orange coloured body. Medium visible carbonation. Not much lacing or head retention noticable.
S - Hops and sweet toasty malt are all I get really. Typical for an English IPA I think. Mild but inoffensive.
T - Bready and toasty. Quite sweet and fruity. Well balanced between hop and malt. Very nice and fruity from those hops.
M - Mild but nice carbonation with a light to medium body with a bit of a sweet /bitter finish that ends more sweet. No real wild bitterness.
O/D - Good. Nothing insane or worth crossing the Atlantic for but a nice take on the style. Highly drinkable and tasty.

A: clear orange-y gold, with a thick frothy head that leaves interesting lacing
S: muted citrus with floral notes among the hops
T: true to the smell, it's all about hops, tang, and flowers
M: medium-bodied, with a nice, dry finish
D: pretty good; it's great to find another tasty Swedish IPA
Notes from 02.15.10 at Oliver Twist in Stockholm

I had this on tap at Glenfiddich Warehouse no 68.
This pale pours a very light gold with an orange tint. A huge head of at least four fingers of very puffy tope head. Great retention and lacing on this...The aroma is light with mostly young, fresh hops displaying, a little floral as well...The taste is also pretty light but flavorful enough to make it enjoyable. Wet hops, flowers, a little caramel malt with a grassy finish. Not enough hops for my taste on a pale ale, but still pretty damn good. Good feel, easy to drink crushed a half liter in about 4 sips.
This is a Swedish craft well worth searching out in Sweden. Its the first Swedish beer that opened my eyes to what Swedish beer can be.

Pours slightly hazed amber. Big crème head. Malty sweet nose that seems like it has some floral and perfume tones. Flavor carries some of the same characteristics as well. Bitterness comes and rests in the back of the mouth. Slight salty touch from hops. Only mildly abrasive, in a pale ale kind of way. A pretty nice beer.

A deep gold beer with a off-white head leaving some lacing.
The smell is mostly citric fruits and flowers, a bit of dried grass and a malty sweetness.
Tasting mostly of bitter notes from the hops, but also some raisin-like sweetness.
The mouthfeel is refreshing with a medium carbonation.
A very nice sipping beer full of nice floral and fruity smells.

Bottle at Mondial 2009. Noything to look at really, yellow with a whisp of white head. A tad of smoke in an English IPA? ANd wood, though this covers any hop aroma. Its more bitterness than detected in the aroma. Average mouthfeel, though above average carbonation.Drying.

Draught, Glenfiddich Warehouse # 68, Stockholm, Sweden. Fairly dark gold, with a full natural foam, perfect for an IPA. Nice nose, dominated by hops of the citrusy, woodsy, floral, herbaceous tone. Flavor is well balanced with malt sweetness, hints of fruits and a delicate hoppiness with low bitterness. A delight to drink.
