Really nice, pours black with fast dissapearing foam. Mouthfeel medium, with a nice taste. A good stout overall. Served in a 250 ml bottle from systembolaget.

Dark black with a creamy brown head.
Nose: Vanilla, dark chocolate, pumpernickel, soy sauce and fudge. A great, creamy, full body. Taste of chocolate, tobacco, dark bread, grapefruit cest, licorice and caramel.
A long lasting bitterness. Great!

A: Pours a dark brown, almost black liquid into the glass. The head is brown and thick with uneven sized bubbles. Good curtains.
S: The smell has a distinct smokiness, almost like smoked ham. Some soy sauce. Dark chocolate. Dark roasted malts with a nice herbal hop tone at the end.
T: Dark roasted malts and a very pleasant sourness at the very start of a sip. Then dark chocolate, smoked ham, dry grassy tones and hints of coffee. The aftertaste leaves a dry herbal hop tone mixed with some hard roasted malts.
M: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Oily texture.
O: Well balanced. A very nice stout.

This is nice and rich. Deep, as I'd expect for the style. A bit more carbonation than I would have anticipated though. Smooth feel on it. Easy to drink. Could have gone for much more than just 25cl. (That's about 8.5 ounces, in case you were wondering.)

on-tap, glenfiddich warehouse
from notes
appearance: took at least 10 minutes to pour, thick motor oil body, huge frothy chocolate cap that coats the face
smell: roasty, smoke, dry malts, bakers chocolate
taste: heavy roasted malts, dry bitterness, licorice, bakers chocolate, light notes of dried fruits. I was eager to try stouts and porters in Sweden until i realized how great the IPA's were. This was good - but a little dry for my taste
mouthfeel: dry finish, creamy body
overall: good

Pours black with creamy one finger head, leaves patchy and beautiful lacing. Aroma is fresh and subtle roasted, it is not even very complex, yet so inviting.
Taste is similar, significant roasted bitterness, slight hints of licorice, few grains of salt; very dry finish and dark malty aftertaste. Mouthfeel is rich and chewy with low carbonation.
Overall, an interesting stout, it is neither bold, nor very complex, yet there is something very attractive and fulfilling about it.

On tap at Glenfidich Warehouse 68 in Stockholm. From notes.
A - Poured black and opaque with no visible carbonation. Two fingers of nice creamy head with a mocha colour on top left average lacing and a half finger cap the whole way down.
S - Lot's of great chocolatey and roasted malt dominate the aroma. I didn't get much else but it was very inviting and smelled great. Not alot of complexity but very nice IMO.
T - Quite sweet and rich. Lot's of that chocolatiness and roasted notes and a mild sort of coffee bitterness to finish. A tad bit sweet for me.
M - Medium carbonation with a medium body and that slight bitter note in the finish.
O/D - Needs more bitterness for me but not a bad stout at all. I have it written down that it was awfully sweet. I couldn't have too much but not a bad one.

You have to love when you take the bartenders suggestion and two locals comment how good it is. Bottle into a snifter. Pours black a medium tan head, really nice and flavorful in both aroma and taste. This is a perfect stout inbetween a us stout and English stout, almost a stout sessional. Easy to drink, semi light feel but tons of flavor.
Give this a shot.

This beer comes in a brown long-necked 25 cl bottle. The label is kind of dull in color but it looks nice anyway. Some barley on the label.
A: The pour reminds me of tar - pitch black and a bit thick. The brown head is small. Almost no lacings.
S: A bit smooked and heavy roasted sweet malt. Then there's coffee and dark bitter chocolate. Some dark dried fruit.
T: The taste reminds of the smell, but there's also licorice. A lot less sweet than the smell but very dry. A bit salty.
M: Full body and almost no carbonation. The medium-long aftertaste holds most dry bitterness.
D: A nice beer. Not to offensive but still a bit complex.

The colour is black, the liquid id a bit thick when poured. The two finger head is very compact and brown. It sinks slowly into a fine ring and a thin layer. Very little lacing.
The smell is sweet, almost sticky. Distinct notes of coffee, cocoa and roasted nuts. Hints of flour, smoked meat and some alcohol.
The taste is not as sweet as the smell suggested. Malty heavily roasted notes, hints of alcohol and dried fruits. Dry bitter notes with some flowery and citric flavours. The aftertaste is sweet and matured with flavours of maple syrup, bitter herbs, liquorice and hints of fresh red fruits, oranges and grapefruits. The finish is sweet with a hint of salt.
The carbonation is mild; the bubbles small. The liquid is very smooth and a bit thick.
A very pleasant drink, not the most complex I have had, but very... rewarding.
