Really nice, pours black with fast dissapearing foam. Mouthfeel medium, with a nice taste. A good stout overall. Served in a 250 ml bottle from systembolaget.

Dark black with a creamy brown head.
Nose: Vanilla, dark chocolate, pumpernickel, soy sauce and fudge. A great, creamy, full body. Taste of chocolate, tobacco, dark bread, grapefruit cest, licorice and caramel.
A long lasting bitterness. Great!

A: Pours a dark brown, almost black liquid into the glass. The head is brown and thick with uneven sized bubbles. Good curtains.
S: The smell has a distinct smokiness, almost like smoked ham. Some soy sauce. Dark chocolate. Dark roasted malts with a nice herbal hop tone at the end.
T: Dark roasted malts and a very pleasant sourness at the very start of a sip. Then dark chocolate, smoked ham, dry grassy tones and hints of coffee. The aftertaste leaves a dry herbal hop tone mixed with some hard roasted malts.
M: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Oily texture.
O: Well balanced. A very nice stout.

This is nice and rich. Deep, as I'd expect for the style. A bit more carbonation than I would have anticipated though. Smooth feel on it. Easy to drink. Could have gone for much more than just 25cl. (That's about 8.5 ounces, in case you were wondering.)

on-tap, glenfiddich warehouse
from notes
appearance: took at least 10 minutes to pour, thick motor oil body, huge frothy chocolate cap that coats the face
smell: roasty, smoke, dry malts, bakers chocolate
taste: heavy roasted malts, dry bitterness, licorice, bakers chocolate, light notes of dried fruits. I was eager to try stouts and porters in Sweden until i realized how great the IPA's were. This was good - but a little dry for my taste
mouthfeel: dry finish, creamy body
overall: good
