The colour is gold wit a tint of red, 15 EBC. The liquid is clear; the finger thick head sinks quickly into a thick lid leaving some lacing.
The semi-sweet smell got distinct floral notes, caramel and a touch of perfume. Hints of apricots and tobacco.
The taste is bitter with elegant caramel flavours. Floral hops, apricots and cloudberries. Clean and focused flavours, medium body. The aftertaste is semi-sweet with juniper twigs, brown bread and a touch of rubber. The short finish got notes of dried flowers and dried apples.
The carbonation is strong, the long-lived bubbles tickles the tongue. The liquid is a bit dry.
A very well-hopped Vienna lager, yet smooth and balanced.
