The colour is deep brown red, the liquid is clear. The two fingers head is beige and compact, it sinks slowly down to a thin lid leaving some lacing on the glass.
The smell got roasted malty notes of nuts and brown bread. Hints of green vegetables, butter and hay.
The taste starts off with a gentle floral bitterness. Dry malty flavours of wholegrain rye bread, treacle and some brown butter. Medium body. The aftertaste is smooth with lots of brown malt, hay, rye bread and light clean bitterness. Clean notes of malt and caramel in the finish.
The carbonation is strong, the many mid-sized bubbles are short lived, the liquid is light.
Not as clean as I expected, I especially didn’t like the buttery flavours.
