A one-off, brewed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Stockholm beer bar Oliver Twist.

The colour is cold yellow-orange (10 EBC), the liquid is a bit cloudy. The warm white head is finger thick. Lots of lacing occurs.

The smell got some yeasty notes, as in Belgian or Bavarian wheat beers. American hops with quite a lot of citric notes. Some wheat sourness and a touch of bitter herbs (Coriander?).

The taste is bitter with floral notes, grapefruits, lime peels and a light wheat tartness in the background as well as a light sweetness. Some green hops and soaps passes. Growing sweet notes in the aftertaste. Sour-bitter flavours, with hints of oranges and bitter oranges in the finish.

The carbonation is strong, the large bubbles are long-lasting in the mouth. The liquid is somewhat smooth.

A pleasant beer, maybe a little bit one-dimensional. I felt that the sweetness in the aftertaste was stronger than necessary, too.

Whitish gold color with lots of cloudiness. Great starting head that dissipates to ring bubbles and a fine coating on the surface. Ample streaks and blankets of lace.

Lots of wonderful spices including cinnamon, cardamom, lavender, and lots of nutmeg!

Straight forward start of paler malts but this quickly becomes quite complicated. All of the aforementioned spices show up in the taste along with a Belgian bite of yeast and hop. The finish reminds me of sage and oregano. The body is full and the carbonation is adequate.

Overall, this is a really interesting beer that is definitely worth coming to Oliver Twist's if you are in Stockholm. It's original without being extreme and different enough to make one ask, "what is that smell/flavor I'm sensing?"
