Plain, Cloying, Toast, Yeast

A very simple yet somewhat too sweet wheat beer, nothing much to this beer at all. This is where the brewer’s intention of suggesting to add a key lime as more than just garnish comes into play, perhaps because this beer really does need something else so really this lime element should have been just added to begin with. Without it this is just a very lackluster wheat beer.

Light honey appearance. Poured on tap at their tasting room. No head or lacing. Intended, as all of their offerings, as a sessioable beer. The nose and taste are both of toasted malt. I get a little of the wheat coming through. I found this beer to be thin. An overall drinkable beer, but nothing I'd likely seek out.

12 oz bottle without any freshness info that I can find.

Hazed almond Amber, moderate fine bubble head and leaving minor lacing on the glass.

Light wheaty nose

More wheat on the palate and some dull fruit....nothing special...but easy drinking and decent to quench the thirst on a humid Florida day...the kinda cheap and fairly tasteless beer a non craft beer guy like my father actually likes....works in a pinch and but not for much else

Decent head, but only ok retention. Cloudy mango-orange body.

Mild aroma, more wheat than yeast.

Flavor is surprisingly juicy. A real American wheat ale; not a hefe. Fair amount of yeast, with touches of clove and banana along with light citrus and tropical juice.

Medium-thick and cloying body. Still refreshing. Quite lively with sting.

On-tap at Hilton Garden Inn Miami Airport, Miami, FL

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a slight amount of visible carbonatiacon. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that left a thin collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light aromas of wheat are present in the nose.
T: The taste has flavors of wheat along with hints of biscuit malts and slight bits of lemons.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and is slightly refreshing.

Serving type: on-tap

It's a little like they poured a shot of an IPA into a shock top. I like the surprise don't think I'd get it again though. It ends up being a bit Metta license, but such is life. Again it's unique and I'm in an airport so that is a rarity.

Beer with a beautiful dark orange color and little tap, cinnamon flavor, lemon and herbs, tasty, medium-light, refreshing and simple body.

Have had at a number of bars, including at IBC in Islamorada:

Nice pale yellow slightly hazy look.
Smell has wheat and yeast overtones.
It tastes light-bodied, without much complexity or distinct flavors, definitely a wheat beer.
It can be refreshing on a hot day, it is less sweet and almost a lager style for dryness.

12oz bottle into pilsner glass
no bottling dates

A: Golden copper, hazy, less than 1 fingers width of white colored head, dissipates fairly quickly, leaves essentially no lacing. 3

S: Lots of sweet malts, some caramel, doughy yeast-like sweet bread, very subtle sweet citrus but almost no appreciable hop characters. 2.75

T: A little better than the aroma implied, but not much. Sweet malts are still prominent, and the doughy characters are still there. Hops are noticeable in the taste but are very subtle, with only a small amount of non-distinct bitterness. Caramel and toffee characters are the most prominent. 3

M/D: Medium body, carbonation appropriate, drinkability is below average. 2.75

O: Meh. The beer doesn’t live up to the island in which it is made. I don’t plan to buy this one again. 2.75
