Coffee and kolsch: two things that typically aren't in the same sentence. But here it was, so I figured I'd give it a try, despite not being the biggest kolsch fan. Typical appearance for your basic kolsch, hazy straw-yellow, with a thin white head. Aroma of grains and coffee. Taste, well, pretty much delivered what was promised...a kolsch with coffee in it. Toasted grains, melded with coffee, grassy hops. If this combination appeals to you, then by all means, try this beer. It wasn't necessarily bad, it's just not something that I think really works, and not something I'd revisit.

One of the worst beers I've ever had.
Appearance: Unassuming, golden color. Not much head if I remember correctly.
Smell: Hint of coffee.
Taste: Where things go downhill. Doesn't taste like coffee. Tastes like coffee grounds. Not pleasant at all.
Mouthfeel: Drinkable, moderate carbonation, light mouthfeel.
Overall: Who wants to drink coffee grounds? Might be a decent Kolsch under there though.
