Look: Pours a nice black color with a fluffy brown head that is much bigger than I would expect from a growler fill

Smell: Nice woody chocolate aroma, with some fruit

Taste: It has a strong but not overpowering wood taste that transitions nicely to chocolate. It has hints of vanilla and fruit

Feel: Medium body, low to medium carbonation, nice character to the body

Overall: A very interesting and different brew from a fairly new local brewery. Not sure this is something I would drink frequently, but it has a very unique flavor

-Served in goblet @ location.

A: Thin, milky head quickly gives way to a skim covering. Dark black coloring comes as no surprise, with a very still rate of carbonation. Lacing was very light on the vessel.

S: Nose of light creamy chocolate, the strength is light to moderate with flashes of fresh woodfire ash and dried fruit.

T: Smooth milky roast base, bittering coffee roast is very smooth on the tongue. Milky chocolate, vanilla, cocoa, with hints of the palo santo woodiness.

M: Mouthful was smooth and silky, light carbonation.

O; Very smooth and silky drink, dark, roasty, with some dried milk chocolate goodness. A flavorful porter with exceptionally smooth drink-ability.

Had this at the brewery a "couple" of times, as well as in 12 oz cans.

Look: Great looking beer, appropriate to the style. Dark black, with creamy head.
Smell: Roasty...with distinct coconut aromas.
Taste: Rich wood, again with subtle coconut flavors.

Overall this beer is one of my favorites... worth seeking out.

Look- dark brown with a huge tan head; took about 2 minutes to get the whole can into the glass

Aroma- cocoa, vanilla, wood, slightly burnt toast

Taste- follows the nose with cocoa, vanilla and wood blending exquisitely; flavor ends with a slightly burnt tasting roasty flavor a little bitterness

feel- Medium bodied and highly carbonated making for a super pillowy feel; finishes surprisingly dry with moderate bitterness

Overall- outstanding wood aged porter

So glad to have finally tried this.

Pour from a 12 oz can.

Taste is earthy, smokey and coconut on the back end. Pretty awesome body for a porter, definitely thicker than most. Heck it drinks better than some stouts I've had. This was fresh off the canning line and I could see it being even better with a few weeks on it. My only regret is I didnt buy more. Try this one if you get the chance.

Look: Black. Very dark which I expect from a good porter or Stout.

Smell: Very nice wood and coconut scent. The smell makes you really want to have a taste.

Taste: Very pleasant. You get the wood taste. There's some coconut and chocolate taste. Almost a bit of licorice or anise. Reminds me very much of a mounds/bounty bar. Easily one of if not my favorite beer I have ever had.
