On nitro. Pour is black with a tight light brown cream head that doesn't move. Nose is slightly ashy, black olive pit, dry milk chocolate. Flavor is more rich, still lots of olive pit and a hint of ash, the chocolate is more pronounced, the malt backbone is slightly richer, the body is medium, incredibly creamy with soft carb. Slight bitterness through the finish from roasted malts.

16 oz can
Pours opaque black, tan film for a head.
Smells of roasted coffee, cocoa, toast, hazelnut and walnut.
Flavor is of cocoa, vanilla, cream, coffee, burnt toast, and hazelnut.
Fuller body, tingly carbonation.
Pretty great. The flavor is full but not overly rich. Drinks very easy. Good sipper on a cold winter night by the fire. I'll probably be looking for this again as it comes around in the rotation.

Very nice classic imperial stout. Creaming mouth feel, nice roasted barley bite, thick foamy head that lasts.

If that was just getting into craft beer and the only Brewery available to me was local Millvale this would be a staple. Unfortunately for $8 a pour there are way more affordable and flavorful Imperial Stout options out there. Somewhat bitter ashy and bittersweet chocolate tasting but bottom line forgettable.

Had this on 2016-11-26 in Pittsburgh, PA at The Foundary on nitro.
Anise, dark roasted grain, dark chocolate, lactose sweetness, smooth, creamy, milkshake thick. Char bitter finish.
