This is a great British-style pub in downtown Folsom and is one of the best such places I've been to in California.
The place is nice, attractive and British-looking in character without being overdone. It is comfortable with nice booth seating in one area and a more open area around the bar. They have a small shady outdoor area, too.
The beer quality and selection is excellent, with a lot of good British beers and not just the standards like Bass, Newcastle, etc. In fact, they emphasise Fuller's beers with ESB, Porter, Bengal Lancer, etc. and they have others besides. They also have a nice range of Belgian and US craft beers on tap along with some less common Czech and German beers. They use British beer mugs and, critically important, they don't serve the beer too cold, a common problem at even supposedly British-style places here serving British beer. The beer was at a nice cellar temprature, clean and fresh.
Service was great, firendly and efficient.
Food was excellent, great shepherd's pie, peas, great sandwich with chicken & brie, and more. The British food was agian some of the best I've had in British-style pubs in California.
