Brewed within the parameters of a classic India Pale Ale or I.P.A., our version boasts a burst of hops from start to finish, and is blanced with a sweet maltiness.

Arrived with easily two fingers' worth of deep, tan head-foamy with great retention. Color was a deep-amber with NE-quality clarity. Nose was very grapefruit citrusy. Mouthfeel was medium with a good deal of grapefruit hoppiness on the tongue. Finish was dry, hoppy, and very satisfying. Great lacing throughout.
A second try, this time at The Willows:
A solid finger of medium-tan head with excellent retention. Color was a deep-amber with NE-quality clarity. Nose had a piney hop scent. Mouthfeel was medium with a solid pine hop bitterness on the tongue. Finish lingered with pine. Best beer on Oahu, IMHO! Well done.

On tap at Sam Choys in Honolulu, HI.
Poured a medium to deeper orangish / copper color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of floral green hoppiness, citrus and some caramel. Tastes follow suit. Light to medium bitter.
Notes from 11/03/07.

This was their seasonal brew when I was there in February.
Poured a nice amber color with a medium head. Good lacing. Light carbonation was visible. Aroma had some hops.
Taste had hops throughout. Mouthfeel had a medium body and was nicely cleansing. Overall, this is certainly not a hopheads IPA, but I'm not a hophead so I found this quite enjoyable. One of the best beers here. It is not complex, but well balanced and quite drinkable.

Nearly reddish amber hue that dons a good bit of haze yet the lace is quite stunning. Uniform yet almost medicinal aroma of hops shadow the malt and fruitiness. Hops seem to be a bit cheesy with a pungent and old flavor to them, the malt is two demensional and draws not interest. Not bad, but certainly not an IPA I was looking for. I ordered a second pint to give it an other go but it was almost impossible for me to finish it.
