Excellent place! Great selection of local Texas beer-a lot from Houston area. Heavy on the IPA's- which I Love. Try the Spindle Tap-Hop Gusher!

Been to Backyard twice and will return again. Once I sat at the bar with a friend on a weeknight and enjoyed a couple beers. The second time was Friday night with family at a table in the bar section of the establishment. Both times service was terrific, but better vibe the second time. Selections are decent, a mix of national beers, Houston and other Texas breweries and a few established micros sprinkled in such as Prairie Bomb! or something from Founders. North Coast is usually well represented. The problem with Backyard and suburb places like it, they focus on home base brews which frankly, my city and surrounding area is not all that good at yet, especially in the darker and more flavorful varieties I prefer. But my limited experience and tracking them on TapHunter is if you can't find at least one or two beers to your liking on tap there, then you're not trying hard enough. Food menu is a nice variety, not just fried bar food. I recommend this joint.

I may be partial - but The Backyard Grill is my favorite place to drink beer. With 48 beers on tap and another 50 plus bottles - the selection is awesome. Two beer clubs and a huge assortment of Texas beer - as well as craft beer from across the country. Also one of the only places that have Kwak and Triple Karmeliet on tap. Check it out
