Pours with no head or carbonation, much like a wine. Not much of an aroma, but you do get some musty flower stem & honeycomb. Some stringent alcohol smell as well. Very oily / slick mouthfeel. You definitely get the honey flavor but there is a big alchohol punch at the end, very boozey / rubbing alcohol-esque. Not sure about wildflower, but there is a stale stem /stock thing happening, possibly from the oak. All in all it is either too bland (upfront) or too astringent (backend), no real melding of flavors. Also, as the name blatantly says, it is a mead, not a beer (let alone a 4.5% abv fruit beer as the site labels it) so keep that in mind. That said, it isn't a good example of a mead, though B Nektar does have a few.

Mead with grapes and aged in oak barrels. Really smooth and sweet. Tastes similar to an Ice wine. Smooth with a strong fruit finish but not something you can drink a lot of, more of a sipper.
