Massive store with a huge selection of craft beer. Warehouse feel to the place and not much in the way of service, but if you have time to peruse and look through all the beer, you may stumble upon a gem or three.
Prices are standard, parking lot is big, easy to be in and out.

This place is the bomb ! I would recommend this place to the serious beer drinker. The selection is great and there is a lot of cold beer is the wall to wall coolers. I am ashamed to say that this place has been open for two years and I had to wait till I was in the neighborhood of the nearest BevMo or Total Wines to get this selection. There is much more cold crafts on hand then the other places. If you love your Tequilas, Whiskies or other type of liquors, this place will also be up your alley. Oh, they have a decent selection of good cigars also. Very worthy of a visit if your near the old Sears building in East Los. I understand the other Ramirez locations are very well stocked. I am now a faithful customer since I discovered this place. A big "Orale" to the Ramirez family to bring such a selection to our area.

This is the newest store for Ramirez and it's a huge warehouse of booze. The beer is both in coolers and warm on the shelf. They have an amazing selection that includes beers that I have never seen sold elsewhere. The service is pretty good but you need to go ask for help if you need it.

Size of bevmo but closer to downtown area and East LA as many know not much options. That being said this store outdoes may of the competition and is a great place to shop in. Once you enter you are overwhelmed with all the options to choose from. Not only is it a craft beer palalce it is also a great place to get liquor. With prices being probably the best around it has something for everyone.
Definitely will be dropping by often since i live in the area

Southeast of downtown Los Angeles is among one of the last places in the city where I could expect an establishment that any beer lover needs to stop. Ramirez Beverage Center lives up to its name; it is a beverage center for beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks. Parking is plentiful, but take a deep breathe before you walk through those doors.....
WOW!!!! Not only large, but very clean, well organized, and easy to get around. With low sitting aisles, you can see across the store and spot with your eyes from the beer glasses or whisky or whatever you are thinking of buying. Among beverages, beer is among the first I think about, and this establishment delivers in spades. A long line of refrigerators rest on one side of the store filled with beer, plus an extra aisle on the floor dedicated to more beer, and near the restroom is a small rack of sour ales.
The beer selection is honestly one of the best I have seen at any store in California. Not only the variety that's available, but special releases and beers you won't find at BevMo or Total Wine. Lots of cold Stone bottles and many of their special release projects, just for starters. Central City, Kronenbourg Blanc, Piraat Triple Hop, Cascade, Hanseens, Caracole, Habanero Sculpin, Belching Beaver, lots of Cismontane bottles, (deep breath) Krusovice, Ayinger, Boulder. Geez, and I haven't even gotten to the extensive range of glassware for sale! More amazing, I could not find a dusty or tired bottle. Prices are listed for a majority of the beers, while others will leave you guessing of a price (which overall are middle of the pack).
Without a doubt, Ramirez Beverage Center is a must stop in Los Angeles.

Have been going to Ramirez Liquor on Soto early on when I was getting into craft beer. This new location is insane. Imagine a store the size of a Bevmo but had a huge focus on local craft beer. They do have some Macro beers but kept close to the entrance where those people can walk in a get out in a hurry.
There is a huge are of craft beer including a long wall of coolers. they do have some beer on the shelves but probably due to how much beer they have.
good selection of Almanac, Cascade, with some special beers hidden.
TIP: if you are looking for Russian River, Beachwood, ask for it or look on the bottom of the coolers. sometimes they hide it

Wow hadn't been in my old East LA hood in a while I think this place is a few months old but its definitely the spot from now on.
These guys don't mess around pretty much anything available in CA they have 100's of selections.. yes yes including Pliny but it goes quick. I couldn't believe they have Founders and Bell's although limited selections. I just stocked up since my stash has been heavily depleted watching Team USA.
Anyway if they don't have have what you want at Bills or Captain Cork drive a little east and you wont be sorry. Also big parking lot is a plus.
Cheers.

Welcome to the first and last place you will need to shop at if your visiting LA - well east Los Angeles to be exact
First of all they have a Instagram which keeps you well informed about special release brew - pretty much anything that hits LAmarket
Hours kinda fluctuate being my only complaint but it's all good - they're usually open late on weekends - and that's what really matters
This place is even easy to get on the bus which is a big plus
Friendly staff- that really know their stuff when it comes to tequila - amongst the Ramirez bros there is one beer guru - although Victor seems to be the guy always puttin in hard work there - he's always there and always in a good mood
This place offers an amazing selection at bevmo prices
Man o man this place has really allowed me to try some amazing brews I thought I woulda never tried before -
Sweeet glassware selection for beginners and avid collectors - even a couple of growlers for local breweries - snacks - craft soda and a small but solid selection of cigars as well -
This place also has Sam Adams Utopias on deck waiting for ya if your feeling celebratory
They keep beer freaken cold - your IPA bombers will be perfect drinking temp by the time you lug them home ..
Overall this is my go to spot now - no offense to the ladies at bills liquor and my buddy gray wise over at valley bev.. Me and the wife make multiple trips a week here
ok update on this review this place has food now! gourmet burgers from a local food truck that was a regular on friday nights called Vaka burgers.. they've carved themselves into the back of ramirez..
the food is pretty damn good .. prob not the best burger I've ever had but the ingredients taste really fresh... fluffy bread tasty lettuce and funky goat cheese. just wish i could open a beer while eating the burger there.. it seems like to go orders only ..
only complaint i have is i don't like eating while i drink... i usually eat after.. so grabbing a burger to go it will always be cold by the time I'm ready for it

I probably shop most often for beers at Ramirez Liquor on Soto, so I think I have a good basis to compare their new venture.
First off, this place is huge with plenty of parking. It's near the old Sears Building we're all accustomed to seeing off the freeway near the 10/5/60 intersection.
The sheer number of quality beers is obviously much better here than either their Boyle Heights or Pico Rivera location. They just have the shelf space to carry multiple bottles/6 packs, etc. of everything. The glassware selection here is much better than their other locations, again thanks to all the space they have.
I missed the Grand Opening. I heard they had nice offerings similar to their Pico Rivera Grand Opening but with lots more bottles and no limits on Cantillon.
All this said, I prefer the old location better. It was months after the grand opening hoopla, but I didn't find anything that wow'd me the day I visited. If I'm stocking up on quality craft beers, I'd visit this location, since I'm virtually guaranteed to find those and in quantity.
I noticed they sell Coedo Beniaka. For tickers, this is a hard to find Japanese Happoshu.
I wish Ramirez would sell singles like they do at Sunset Beer Company and other places now that they have all this space.
