Corked and caged 750mL bottle from Sprayberry Bottle Shop (Marietta, GA). 17.99. Bottled 2/19/16. Served in an Orpheus snifter.

Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a finger and a half quickly dissipating white head. Little to no surface retention bur an uneven halo imparts a few scattered wisps of lacing.

The nose is vinous and funky. Grapes, red wine, musty earth, funky grains and a slight vinegar note.

Tastes of sweet wine, funky oak, sour grapes, wet hay, fruit skins and a little apple cider vinegar. Quite pleasant overall.

Dry but mildly sticky, medium full feel with a pleasantly understated carbonation. Finishes with notes of funky, earthy fruit and wine infused oak.

Great work by Orpheus. Even The Furies Wept is a tasty, complex and highly drinkabie brew that is well worth a try.

A touch on the hazy side.

Aromas of pineapple, lemon, oak

Flavor much of the same. A touch of sweetness, maybe from the Sauternes barrels, but with just enough acidity to balance. Smooth barrel character with a touch of nice buttery vanilla. So much going on.

Not quite as dry as expected, but soft and velvety
