Black sour wheat beer aged 9-10 months small oak barrels and finished in TX bourbon barrels.

Batch #4 Bottled on 2/24/15 at 55degrees into snifter
Aroma weak roasted malt
Head large (6.5 cm, aggressive pour), light brown, frothy, diminishing to four cm ring and partial layer
Lacing poor – few medium islands of tiny bubbles
Body dark brown, opaque
Flavor sour, overpowers weak roasted malt flavor, no bourbon noted at all; no hops, no alcohol, no diacetyl
Palate medium, watery, lively carbonation (Over carbonated)

Maybe a bad bottle but it tasted like nail polish remover. Both beers I have tried from the brewery were not good.

Definite bourbon smell and some flavor but not as much sour since bourbon isn't as bacteria friendly. Interesting.

Appearance:
Dark and very carbonated as your pour, but the carbonation is short lived. The head is a light tan color and dissipates very quickly and there's no lacing at all.
Smell:
The aroma is very mild, malts and molasses mixed with bourbon and a very mild acetic sour note is present.
Taste:
The taste is actually petty good, smoked malts, coffee, dates and a little sour and caramel all come out as you drink ti=his dunkel.
Mouthfeel:
Light bodies and almost watery to the feel.
Overall:
This was a surprise overall, a good tasting beer and well worth a try.
