Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.

A: I love that dark amber color! Quickly dissipating head with not much lacing.

S: Smells of orange peel and caramel malt.

T: Subtle spices (orange) and a touch of hops up front, followed by toasty malts and wheat in the back. The wheat lingers in the aftertaste and is very pleasant.

M: Very drinkable, light body and smooth. perfect carbonation.

Overall: This is way better than i remember it being. I'd def have it again.

A: Lighter than i would have thought. Similar to newcastle, a tad lighter. Small head dissipated quickly. Little to no lacing

S: Sweet maltyness up front, brown sugar, molasses, chocolate come to mind. Touch of pehaps lemons and pine hops.

T: Different from smell, a lot of orange peel taste up front. Some cinnamon/nutmeg spice in there too. Some cleansng piney hops at the end (noble?) similar hop profile to Boston lager.

M: Very clean finisher and quit sessionable. A bit undercarbonated but not thin or watery.

O: One of SA best brews, and probably one of their best 6 pack option out there. A great session beer and a good intro beer for non BA.

From the 2011 winter 12 pack. Pours a dark, copper brown color with a small tan head, that shrinks to a thin layer on top. Good lacing.

Smell- ginger and cinnamon, with traces of citrus, almost lemon-lime like. Can't smell much of a presence of malt.

Taste- ginger and citrus at the front end, very spicy. You can taste the presence of cinnamon with a backbone of malts. Hops are noticeable on the back end.

Overall a pretty good bock. Suitable for the winter with it's spicy notes.
