Chocolate flavor, no surprise there. Despite the appearance of rising bubbles, it feels flat, and the structure completely falls apart. Hard to describe, but a few seconds after swallowing, I still taste chocolate, but my mouth doesn’t feel as if I’ve just had a beer.

Looks delicous! Pours a dark brown leaning towards a black in color with pretty ruby showing around the edges. Has a thick and foamy two fingers of light brown head that leaves some nice tan lacing on the glass.

The smell is like chocolate dreams. Picking up bittersweet and sweet chocolate on the nose. Not much else even as it warmed just lots of delicous chocolate.

The taste is really nice! Comes out exactly like the nose. Lots and lots of chocalte dominating it all. Almost like a chocolate bar melted down with a bit of bakers chocolate melted in.

Mouth feel lens toward medium with a sweet creamy texture. Very smooth and easy drinking.

Overall a very chocolate filled offering from Sam Adams. Would make a great desert beer for the holidays. Even with all of this chocolate there is just enough of the bittersweet chocolate to temper the beer from being overly sweet. What you get is just a creamy and kind of dreamy chocolate filled beer. Very wonderful beer!

This a good heavy tasting beer form Sam Adams and Co. They made a beer taste like a Hershey's and its a good by the fireplace on a cold snowy night type of drink...

Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock brewed by Boston Beer Company, with an ABV of 5.80% This Bock pours out a deep brown color with a small light brown head. There is also some spotty lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. This brew has the look of coffee, not saying that is a bad thing. The smell is rich with roasted grians ,malts, and chocolate sweetness. You also pick up on some nice mild hops bitterness in the smell as well. Between the look and smell, this is one inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is bold with flavors. You first pick up a nice roasted goodness, then a slight sweet chocolate ending. The best way to put it is bitter sweet, but in a good way. There is a lot going on in Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock, I can't get over how smooth this brew goes down. It is hard to pick up on the 5.80% ABV in this Bock. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a super nice balance to it. The mouth feel is Bold, Roasted, Smooth, Clean and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving Samuel Adams Chocolate Bock a 4.5 out of 5. I would look this brew up again givin the chance to. Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams), did a real nice job with this brew. If you are a fan of roasted, chocolate flavors look this one up.

Look - great looking super dark beer with a great tan head that goes away but leaves a good skim
smell - dark roasty sweet matls with some chocolate in there and maybe some vanilla.
taste - slightly toasty chocolate milk, not much of a bock but yummy
Feel - medium body with a fairly light carbonation but still creamy and smooth
Overall - If I was being picky about this being a Bock beer Id have to give it a lower rating. But for being open minded, this is pretty good with lots of chocolate.

Decent. Enjoyed straight from the bottle. Aroma is cocoa powder, some tiny roast, but mostly sweet malt. Taste follows, with the cocoa powder flavor predominant over malt and clean, floral hops. Smooth, refreshing. One chocolate ale I could have a few of in a session and not get annoyed by an overwhelming chocolate flavor.
