Look: Pours a blackish brown color with a one finger khaki head. Leaves no lacing.

Smell: Predominantly of sweet chocolate syrup, caramel malt and mildly bitter black coffee.

Taste: Nothing special here. Has a very mild, watery taste. I'm just getting sweet milk chocolate with nothing in terms of balance besides a very mild bitter coffee note hiding somewhere in the back. More sweet malty caramel creeps in on the aftertaste.

Feel: Thin. Lightly carbonated. Sweet throughout.

Overall: A pretty mediocre bock. Very one dimensional with none of the flavors that really make a bock great, like dark red fruits or light notes of yeast. Would not repurchase or recommend. Finishing this was a chore because it was simply so sweet.

Fresh from a bottle into a bock glass. Pours dark, but not a head like a Guinness. Otherwise it is a very nice beer with some good solid cocoa notes. A good example of its type.

Presentation: 12 oz bottle freshness notched for April 2017 poured into a Guinness pint glass.

Look: Dark ruby brown with a 1/2 finger tan head that rapidly collapses but leaves a residue across the top.

Smell: Strong malt presence all the way through, faint chocolate notes in the foreground but you have to search for them.

Taste: Malts, cocoa, dark fruits, faint alcohol esters. Flavor is big and bold, cocoa leaves a bit of a rough edge.

Feel: Medium thick body with plenty of carbonation. Smooth, clean finish.

Overall: Decent. The flavor is good and yet at times it's not. Seems unbalanced at times in my opinion.

Decent head and lacing. Clear cocoa brown fluid with a dark khaki topping. Chocolate nose. Malty and mild. Hops are floral.

Taste is malty. deep and rich with chocolate.

Feel is nicely weighted with an overall lightness that suits a porter but besides the luxurious carbonation. Crisp and drinkable.

A delicious winter chocolatey beer treat.

This beer pours a clear dark brown with a smallish head. The aroma features milk chocolate, marshmallow, some roasty coffee, smoke, and caramel. The flavor has notes of caramel, chocolate, marshmallow fluff, peanut butter, and toffee chips. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation. Overall is is a simple and enjoyable little dessert beer - quite sweet, but that is what it seems to be going for.

Pours a deep brown with minimal head and no lacing.

It is thin but not inappropriately so. Taste is overwhelmingly chocolate and considering the name you can't fault them for it. There is some light roasted malt flavor.

It's meh. They accomplished the chocolate flavor but its overpowering.

Poured 12 oz bottle into snifter glass. 5.8% abv

Appearance- Pours a chocolate brown with a light brown head. Quite dark.

Smell- Roasted grainy malt, milk chocolate.

Taste- Crisp semi roasted barely. Milk/cream flavor mixes in, retaining the roasted quality. Turns quite chocolate flavored and milky in the end with a touch of bitterness.

Mouthfeel- Medium in body with active carbonation

Overall- Great use of chocolate in a beer. Highly smooth and drinkable due to the crispness.
