Pours a cola color with a tight, off-white head that leaves little chunks of lacing.

Smells of mostly cocoa powder, a little fruits if you search.

Tastes of mostly chocolate again. Cocoa powder leads with a decent amount of sweetness. A bit of bread and some raisins come in, but they are all very slight and I don't particularly like the cocoa notes.

Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.

Overall, an okay beer that's best use would probably be to introduce people to craft.

Had this bottle out of the "winter pack." Reviewed from notes.

A-Thin, tan head. Deep mahogany color. Decent carbonation and moderate lacing.

S- Brewing spices, roast malts, chocolate and caramel all comes off in the first waft.

T- Full-bodied taste. Milk-chocolate and sweet malts. Very dessert-y.

M- Finishes clean and smooth, velvety and full-bodied. Surprisingly nice.

O- Good beer. I was a little shocked. I was expecting an over-sweet concoction but was pleased with this. Taste is weak though and the appearance especially leaves more to be desired.

A: A clear black with ruby highlights and a thin tan colored head.

S: Roasted malt and milk chocolate.

T: Rosasted malt up front that fades into a nice milk chocolate flavor that mixes well with the roasted malts in the finish. There is a sweetness that maintains through the finish. No hop or bittering noticeable.

M: Light body and lower carbonation.

O: Not the typical bock. It's almost like drinking hot chocolate after it's been in the fridge. It is pretty tasty and worth a try.

Poured into a pint glass.

A: Pours a deep chestnut brown with ruby red highlights. There's hardly any head, poor lacing and low carbonation.

N: Milk chocolate, Pepto-Bismol, roasted barley and hints of coffee.

T: Roasted barley and cocoa upfront followed by milk chocolate, candy sugar and some decent breadiness. Finishes with semi-sweet chocolate and Pepto-Bismol.

M: Medium-full bodied, creamy, a tad sticky and a little dry.

O: Bread and cocoa, simply put. Overall the flavors seem rather synthetic. Pepto flavor is off putting. Easy drinking and a good effort from SA.

Pours black with rose hues.

The smell is sweet cherries and a little dark fruit.

The taste is a slight bitterness on the front and mid. The front is fairly subdued, but the back comes in with bold flavor. To me it tastes just like a chocolate covered marshmallow.

A decent beer that paired beyond amazing with some pumpkin pie. Overall though it stands alone just ok. Not bad but I would rather go with a chocolate stout.

Thanks again Dave for this one. Poured stout black with red highlights. Beige head was tall and stuck around for a bit. Smell is all malt with chocolate and caramel. Taste is sweet chocolate and caramel with some malt. Mouthfeel is a bit watery. I liked it. I'd have it again but with desert next time.
