12oz bottle from the SA Winter case from Costco. Poured into a tulip glass...

A: Mahogany, with a light beige, two-finger head; nice retention leaves a few rings and dots of lace.

S: Sweet bread and light caramel malt; a pinch of ginger, too; some metallic notes that fade as the brew warms; nice little things here and there, but everything is pretty subdued, aroma-wise.

T: Raisin-plum-poundcake; some toasty notes; a light bit of leafy bitterness; nutty; an interesting beer! Kind of like fruit cake in a bottle.

M: Medium-bodied, high carbonation and smooth.

D/O: A really interesting winter warmer - a good one to bust out around the holidays.

Poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint glass

Appearance: clear, cola brown. Light head that sleighs away rather quickly. Not much lacing.

Smell: chocolate, malts, with a hint of orange

Taste: follows nose with spices and a ginger finish

Mouthfeel: light; low carbonation

Overall: a very smooth holiday offering. Great with cheddar. I wasn't too keen on the ginger, but it didn't hurt the overall taste.

A- Brownish, almost cola like with a small off-white head that disappears.

S- Malt, caramel, notes of nutmeg and orange.

T- Malty up front, with hints of spices and dried fruit. Same ginger bite that winter lager has.

M- Mouthfeel of their lagers, smooth, carbonated and drinkable.

O- I like this one better than winter lager, more flavors, but not thrilled about the ginger taste.

Poured into a pint glass.

It's a dark amber. It's clear with some whitish lace.

It's got some cinnamon in the nose. There's some orange as well.

It's pretty sweet. There is some cinamon and orange and ginger just like the label says.

It's medium bodied with some decent carbonation.

Overall, this beers pretty good but winter warmer isn't one of my preferred styles.

I poured a bottle into a Samuel Adams glass.

Appearance- Clear, dark reddish-brown with a fingers worth of quickly disappearing head. Light amount of lacing.

Smell- Caramel malts with a hint of some spices.

Taste- Malt with hints of chocolate, orange, caramel and cinnamon.

Mouthfeel- Medium bodied and well carbonated. Smooth and slightly creamy.

Overall- A very good holiday brew.

Pours a dark red brown with a paper thin head that retains. Aroma of caramel and chocolate malts with a range of spices. Taste follows the nose, there is a lot going on here, chocolate, caramel slight coffee notes with orange cinnamon and maybe some ginger. Very complex for what it is. Smooth and easy drinking, no alcohol detected at all. Great surprise from Sam Adams!!!
