Part of a winter ampler 12-pack. Poured in to a pint glass.
Pours a clear copper color with a thin white head.
Smell is a candy scent. Caramel and butter scotch.
Taste is a sweet bread flavor. Mild hop bitterness.
Mouthfeel is thin and a little watery.
Overall a nice amber. Not really a winter brew. Similar to the Oktoberfest.

On tap
Poured perfectly amber, slightly hazy with a pretty good head.
Nice and malty with a little crispy hops, well suited to the style.
IMO a very nice bock

Pours a mostly clear light brown color with good off-white head and ample lacing. Scent is of carmel and malt. Taste mostly follows, with bitterness coming through towards the end. Pretty full mouthfeel and an aftertase that starts to the sweet side with bitterness on the backend

Poured from a 12oz bottle into pint glass in March 2019. The bottle had a drink by date of April 2019.
Appearance: Medium Amber with light tan head. The head was about 2 fingers high and lasted a long time, There is some lacing on the glass.
Smell: Mild sweet aromas, with very little hop aroma. There is not much though in the aromas. Overall the caramel aroma dominates.
Taste: Good taste. Mostly a caramel taste, with some other sweet tastes like vanilla. There is a very light hops flavor. This is sweet and typical of bock beers.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied. Medium alcohol which matches the 6.0% listed on the label.
This is a good bock beer. It is dominated by the caramel flavor, and is typically sweet like other bocks. It is typical of other bocks, and I would buy this again.

Poured into grip shaped goblet: color is copper to light amber, head is light tan with fine bubbles, head presents about 1 inch deep and lingers very well.
Smell is toast, biscuit, caramel, neutral grassy hops.
Taste follows with toasty, biscuity malt with caramel sweetness, not overdone - simple, complete in terms of bock flavors; some neutral grassy hop flavors.
Mouthfeel is crisp, not overly carbonated, a bit sweet lingering presence.
Overall a decent bock, somewhat down the middle of the style with maybe just a lean to the sweeter malts.

Tough ratings on a pretty good bock, in my book.
Although as Looks go, this bock is average given that amber is a pretty color to work with.
As Smells go, it probably is average for a style that rarely smells like much.
SA's Amber Tastes as mostly caramel malts should, sweet but not syrupy. SA used hops correctly, merely to balance malt.
Mouthfeel is full enough for a masthead like me, but as it warmed I got a slightly metallic finish. It went away as I snacked.
Probably not a repeat in my near future, but also not a complaint. A solid bock.

Amber-y. Caramel malt, toasted bread, dough and subtle hop flavors. Light, crisp and drinkable. Standard mass produced semi craft brew. Eh. It's inoffensive.
