A: Pours a hazy amber with a bone white head. No lacing and the head dissipates fast.
S: S is for strange. I give them points for originality (i mean because no one makes a beer like this), but take them away for the actual smell. Smells of strong licorice, menthol, pine, mint(birch beerish). There is some molasses, honey and vanilla in there but overpowering licorice.
T: Up front licorice, molasses, medicine, backed by pine and vanilla. Honeslty not some flavors i want overpowering a beer. Hard to swallow honeslty.
MF/D: This beer left a weird tingling sensation n my mouth which i didnt like at all. It also made my stomach hurt after i was 3/4 of the way done. Interesting in respect that this was a kind of beer that our countries past heros drank, but not very apealing. Sorry Sam:(.

Review from October 2006:
Appearance: Opaque hue with a caramel look. Spice particles visible.
Taste: Strong spicy flavor with a syrupy finish. Syrupy after taste.
Comments: Not one of my favorites. A bit too much of a syrupy texture, more like a cider than beer. Very sweet with strong spicy note. Slight aroma of burnt ceder. Spicy aroma.
