Bottle out of the summer sample pack
A-A finger of of white head quickly recedes atop a clear light golden brew.
S-Sweet malt aroma.
T-Quite sweet malt. Kind of reminds me of spotted cow mixed with some sweet corn.
M-Moderate carbonation. Some malt body. Easy going crisp finish.
O-An easy drinking brew. Sweet, non-objectionable. Kind of boring.

BOTTLE from their Summer seasonal box (which, of course, I was able to buy in April...)

Has a nice floral hop character to go with its blonde malt backbone. A bit timid in terms of depth of flavour and complexity, sure, but well-balanced inasmuch as a beer this simple can be well-balanced.

Innocuous likeable fare from Boston Beer Company. The kind of crowd-pleasing brew you could bring to a barbecue...this kind of right-up-the-middle inoffensive fare is Boston Beer Co.'s bread and butter, and it's very well executed given the scale it's brewed on. That said, discerning drinkers won't flock to it, and while I'll enjoy the two bottles that came in the 12 pack variety box I bought, I imagine by this time tomorrow I'll have forgotten about this beer entirely. No one will dislike it, but no one will love it.

Appearance: Pours a sufficiently golden-hued body, quite clear, though any modest head formation has evaporated within seconds.

Smell: Gently toasted bread brushed with honey butter, a secondary sniff of apple cider and the tiniest pinch of spice.

Taste: A little bready, a little nigh buttery and moderate degree of toffee-esque sweetness. Scantly grainy. Orchard fruitiness leaning toward sweet apple. Faint spiciness, very low citrus and just a kiss of hop bitterness. Finishes fruity and fairly sweet.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Lightly carbonated.

Overall: A sweet forward, clunky dud. Also, is anyone digging these new Sam Adams labels? Geez Louise.

Poured into a half pint glass: color is gold, transparent, good effervescence, head is white with fine bubbles.

Smell is caramely, light toast, some floral hops.

Taste is similarly sweet with caramel and toast flavor, some floral hops. Just a bit too sweet for a blonde ale of my preference, but not a bad flavor.

Mouthfeel has a strong carbonation, lingering full sweetness.

Overall a sweeter, strongly carbonated golden ale.

12 oz. bottle - Freshness month of Sep 2018 notched on label:
Pours clear, bright golden with a small white head that soon becomes a wisp. Minimal trailing/vanishing lace.

The smell is clean - some grain, a hint of leafy hops.

The taste is of doughy grain with just enough leafy/herbal hops to keep it balanced. Light and refreshing.

A pleasant, basic American Blonde Ale.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled like caramel and floral notes. Tastes like beer. This is what should be served to people in TVs and movies at bars when they order "a beer".

Poured out of a 12 ox bottle into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a very clear, light to medium golden color with lots of streams of little bubbles fairly rapidly and continuously rising to the beer's surface. White head is initially well over an inch thick when first poured before eventually settling to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass, some cluster swirls of surface foam and a bit of lacing. Aromas of slightly toasted, somewhat bready, caramel malt sweetness along with an herbalness and a bit of fruit such as pineapple and melon. The taste is pretty much the same, with slightly toasted, bready caramel malt with a bit of sweetness that gives way to a bit of grainy herbalness. and some earthy hope notes. Has a crisp, yet smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish with somewhat of a dry aftertaste. A good beer here all around, especially on this very hot summer night in Cleveland.

From the mixed case at BJ's
Deep golden color with a frothy white head. Bready crackery pilsner maltiness with hints of floral spicy hops. Middle of the road beer.

The clear bright golden colored beer pours out into a nonic pint glass with a 1 1/2” ivory white head that recedes slowly to a thin, layer of foam on the surface while leaving lots of foam and lacing that persists well on the sides of the glass. Sipping crease a couple of arches and lots of legs of lacing.

The aromas are light but include a bit of bready malt and some slightly spicy grassy hops.

As expected from the nose, the flavors include some light bready malt sweetness tinged with some light grassy herbal hops that also bring a light bitterness to the table.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied and fairly smooth with the light persistent carbonation. The finish begins as the sweetness begins to recede, allowing the grassiness to show as some light bitterness starts to show in the dry finish.

On the whole this is a Blonde Ale that is easily drinkable, fairly refreshing and would be a good choice to have on offer at a summer party where there are going to be guests who don’t want their flavors to be intense and in your face. While I don’t expect to be buying this one again I’d certainly not turn one down if offered.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with a Best By date of Oct 2018. Sampled on June 17, 2018.

It pours a bright golden color with smooth rising carbonation and a soft, silky white head. Really looks the part.

The aroma has a bit of sweet barley grain, a squirt of honey, and a lower profile citrus hop sensation.

Medium, smooth mouthfeel.

Immediately malt forward and sweet in the taste with just a little citrus stopping by at the end. Refreshingly easy to drink. Today is 91 degrees so it fit the bill.

Golden Ale pours a golden color, with no head. Sweet, smooth aroma, hints of honey. Flavor is sweeter, big crisp malty flavor, with nice hints of zesty honey. Good body and feel. Overall, a very full, and flavorful blond ale.

A nice, basic blonde ale, it pours a crystal clear golden color with a white head. Sweet malts on the nose, no discernible hops, the aromas carry over to the taste, but they’re all a bit muted. Good quencher for the summer months, but not something to seek.

Golden color and a small to medium head. A little bland but quenches your thirst on a hot summer day. Tried this from the summer Vpack. Overall a good beer

A: Pours a golden yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap

S: Grain, bready malt, and light fruitiness

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with some grainy notes and lightly sweet bready malt and then picks up some fruity and floral notes. Finishes with lingering grain and floral notes

M: Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: An easy drinking golden ale that works well with the summer season. Nothing too special here, though
