The smell is definatley full of grapes with some hints of syrup. Unfortunatley, the two don't meld together at all. Tastes of grapes up front with a LONG LONG finish of maple syrup. I had to drink two other beers to get rid of the super long finish. I honestly could not drink this beer and I'm sure there were many other brews that should've won before this beer. Just my two cents...
