Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a copper color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a moderate pace. Slight lace ran here and there.
The aroma had some pumpkin/butternut squash sweetness running into some ginger and allspice. Light biscuits and honey and a touch of earthiness.
The flavor was moderately sweet through the pumpkin/butternut squash to honey and biscuit arrangement. Slight ginger in the aftertaste and a light dose of white pepper.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt appropriate. Not much of a finish, but seemed slightly sweet.
Overall, nothing really special as a pumpkin ale. They brew some better ones and there's better ones on the market.

this is a great beer just tried it for the first time today. I drink a bomber of this Brew

That color is very coppery.

The body is very very light for such a specialty beer.

It has a very good taste but I would not call it pumpkin it is something more like a butternut squash if you want to use something from the Squash Family.

Very little pumpkin taste, goldish orange color with a strong Sam Adams taste as is strong in nearly every Sam Adams beer. The only pumpkin beer worse than this is Linenkugel Pumpkin Shandy. Glad I only bought 1 as it was a huge disappointment. It also smelled like stale Sam Adams with hints of pumpkin and cinnamon. I strongly advise not getting this beer.

I bought a Sam Adams at the craft store,.... hmmmm,. Color is nice, typical dark pumpkin, aroma is kind of medicinal, taste is light, not very tasty, bland, overall one of the worst pumpkin beers I have ever tasted.

Definitely not one of the better Pumpkin ales. I'd say it's one of the worst I've had, right up there with Blue Moon's version, though not quite that bad. There is almost no pumpkin taste at all and very little pumpkin scent. Skip this one and just buy their Octoberfest, which is a must better beer probably sold at the same store.

This ale pours a dark brownish amber color with a medium off white head. The smell like most pumpkin beers is strongly of pumpkin and allspice. This is medium to light bodied. The flavor is a little malty with fairly heavy spice notes and some very significant, but not overwhelming pumpkin flavor. The finish is a little sweet. I am a fan of pumpkin beers, but I think that it is very easy to over or under do the pumpkin flavor (mostly the former). This ale walks the line nicely though I would say it is definitely leaning toward the overdone side. I would even call it one of the better, though definitely not the best, pumpkin beers I’ve ever had. Admittedly I haven’t had many of the higher rated pumpkin beers though. It’s a good addition to the fall variety pack.
