This was the Last Man Standing from the BBC Holiday mixed twelve that I haven't yet tried. Kudos for the genius who finally figured out to put the mixed twelvers in cans. Big wet head and golden body. A little bit of holiday spice and yeast front a mild nose. The nutmeg and cinnamon kind of guide the wheat and yeast through the paces but low carbonation leads to a bit of a thin and watery quality in the texture. Fine for what it is but not really my deal.

12 oz can.

Pour is hazy and straw colored. Decent white head. Minimal retention.

Smells like wax candy and sugar cookies. Some light citrus.

Flavor is more citrus-forward. Lemon zest and orange. Some clove and nutmeg with faint cinnamon.

Feels light with good carbonation. Smooth and crisp.

Overall, a solid witbier. Easy to drink and relatively flavorful.

12oz can dated best before April 2022.

Pours faintly hazy yellow with a short head of white. Minimal retention or lacing. Biscuit ends with bananna and light spice in the nose. Clove, lemon zest. Light bodied with a crisp mouthfeel. Cloves and bananna with a
Hint of apple on the palate. Crackery malt follows through with light honey and lemon.

L: Pours a lovely amber/orange with a short white head that quickly dissolves into a ring and a couple of islands
S: yeasty white bread with a hint of orange
T: some lightly toasted white bread with bright orange and nutmeg at the front, a little clove and banana, and a hint of cinnamon heat at the end
F: moderate carbonation gives a tingle and there is a touch of pepper/cinnamon heat on your tongue and a dry finish with a little bit of hop bitterness at the end.
O: surprisingly good. I had not expected a lot from this beer and was pleasantly surprised. Enjoyable and easy to drink.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Hazy pale straw color with minimal head that vanished almost immediately. Bready malts, orange peel, and holiday spices (clove, ginger, coriander), Taste mostly follows but cinnamon, absent from the nose, is fashionably late to the party on the palate, accompanied by a nice spicy wheat twang. Medium-bodied, pleasant mouthfeel nicely balanced with smoothness and carbonation.

A too heavily spiced Witbier, with genereric spices and somewhat high alcohol level, a bit strong but doesn't taste like malt liquor. Seasonal, they claim "brewers assn independent craft" on the bottle.

Nice cloudy brew with a decent head and nice amount of lacing. Dark straw gold with lots of double shine.

Nose is tart and wheat twangy. Healthy dose of orange and spices.

Taste is following the nose with a bright citrusy personality. Solid wheat malt backbone with a low bitterness and clean dry finish.

Feel is crisp and smoothly carbonated. Quenching swallow with an easy drinkability.

This is a great holiday session brew. So tasty and in character with the season.

Superber. Think if a Blue Moon and Jack-O Pumpkin decided to procreate. This would be the offspring. Citrus notes with holiday spices. Mhhm mhhm yes please. Robustly smooth and just so drinkable. A lovely New Years Eve beer that honestly could be consumed years round.

Nice mild Witbier - better than Blue Moon, not as good as Hoegarden. Pours a hazy dull yellow color with a nice sized white head. Decent retention and a bit of lacing. Aroma is orange peel, some spices: cloves and coriander but also some baking type spices like nutmeg and cinnamon. Taste is more of the same but there is also some bready malt, wheat bitterness and yeast. Not really complex but there are some nice mild flavors. Mouthfeel is crisp, light and refreshing. Not bad at all, I would drinik this one again

Poured slightly hazy little foam
Smell was clean slightly bready
Feel was lite to medium body
Now the taste came together for me. Some coriander spices bread
and a sweet spicy finish. Overall the taste overcame any shortcomings for me. Definitely a nice winter ale.

Bottle. Reminds me of a blue moon. Wheat ale with spices. Coriander, clove, citrus fruit, zest. Light bodied. Nice carbonation. Easy drinking. A nice change to winter beers.

Picked-up six pack of bottles at Bradford's in Plymouth for about ten dollars. My tenth brew reviewed from these guys, have had many times that. Not a big fan of this style, but I thought that this was pretty good.

Enjoy by April 2020. 12oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours golden with some haze to it; small white head that fades leaving solid retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward along with some wheat. Mild hints of orange and spices. The flavors basically follow the nose. More hints of orange. More subtle spice notes. Mild hints of cinnamon in the mix. Wheat and malts do their thing. Finishes clean. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is light-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp, fluffy, smooth and easy to drink.

This is an okay white ale. It's honestly nothing too crazy or my new favorite example of the style. They do stay true to the style though, more or less.

I got Sam Adams new holiday white ale in the variety pack, and was excited to try something new. I'm sad to say I'm disappointed in Boston Beer. This white ale doesn't much nose, just a little malt. It's colored okay, but it has an almost sour flavor with a big mouthfeel. I thought this was going to be like their older white ale which was much sweeter and delicious.

Samuel Adams Holiday White Ale has a fairly thick, creamy white head, a semi-hazy, bubbly, golden appearance, with a bit of lacing. The aroma is of subdued spice and citrus, along with subdued white wheat bread. The flavor is quite similar. The body is medium, with a fluffy mouthfeel, and Samuel Adams Holiday White Ale finishes medium dry.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of holiday spices, wheat and toasted caramel. Sweet caramel taste with pine and holiday spices. Crisp, sharp and smooth.

Bought a Sam Adams Holiday 12 pack. Slightly cloudy gold on the pour with no head and lace. Slight aroma of oranges and bread. Taste is a pleasant blend of coriander, clove, orange and bread flavors. Carbonation is light. Kind of disappointed by how blah this beer is. Won't be buying again.

From a 12 oz bottle with a best by date of Apr 2021. Sampled Nov 12, 2020.

The appearance is what you might expect from the style with a cloudy looking golden amber beneath a modest silky cream colored head.

Those coriander, clove, orange peel aromas are front and center with a decent toasted bread character too.

Medium and smooth mouthfeel.

Sweet and spicy taste through and through. Sam Adams has a fine take on the style here.

a festive addition to the winter box this year, not sure if it is a remake of their classic white ale, or something else, its been a very long time, but i enjoyed this, appreciate the higher citrus peel content and the fuller wheaty body, and think it works for the holiday season pretty well. real fizzy from the bottle, active head and lots of carbonation. aroma of coriander, black pepper, sweet orange zest, and canned mandarin oranges, definitely a wintery bouquet. the yeast has some obvious spice character and has been allowed to flavor this quite a lot, coriander in behind it, super compatible, a little bitterness at the end to help it finish fast, and enough wheat malt in here that it can be both tasted and felt in the texture. perhaps not an overly complex recipe, but with slightly different than conventional proportions, and i like the tweaks. the high carbonation gives it a classic belgian feel, even if the taste is somewhat americanized. context is everything, and i can easily see this beer in front of the christmas tree and the fire, or around the thanksgiving table, pretty good for a style that i generally think is appropriate and enjoyable all year round. they did a nice job with this.

Slightly Hazy golden yellow, permanent creamy white head

Strong orange peel and wheat beer graininess

Clean, crisp, orange peel and coriander and other warming spiciness, clean crisp wheat.

Light and smooth, CO2 is nominal. The best thing about this beer is how it FEELS.

A well-made but boring Belgian Wit
