Poured into a a 14 oz. glass. Quickly disappearing head and no lacing. Smell of clove and orange peel. Carbonation is light. Taste is too much clove for my satisfaction.

Not my favorite style but im not picking up too much on the smell but the taste makes up for it with a sweet yeasty crispness and slight orange zest taste. Not bad, I like the sweetness and mouthfeel on this one

From a 12oz bottle, best by Apr of whenever. From the Beers for Cheers variety pack, purchased at Price Chopper 11/22/22. Served in a willi becher.

Pours a lightly hazed, cheerful butterscotch-gold with a scant finger of fizzy head that was gone too quickly to get much of a look at.

Nose is malty, sharp, citrusy. Aromas of grain, orange, ginger, pine.

Taste is largely in accord with the nose. There’s a sour wheat and soggy fruitcake character. Tasting orange peel, citron, clove or banana, cinnamon. Watery with a sour booze aftertaste.

Feel is clean and crisp, fairly light bodied and brightly carbonated. Easy drinker but thin.

Overall, not too bad.

Overall a good holiday white ale with spices and orange. Taste is a little light for a white ale but would buy again. Definitely can taste clove juniper and orange peel.

From the neck of the bottle: "APR 2023 P 292 2 1652 66E"

Appearance: The body is a medium shade of gold that is somewhat on the darker side. It is very cloudy and it allows fuzzy dark shadows to be visible through it. There is a short white cap that slowly fades out to a thin ring but aside from that there isn't much of a head. No lacing.

Aroma: There is a light tinge if wheat aroma which comes across a touch sour on the nose as expected. Not much of an aroma. There isn't anything wrong with the aroma but there isn't much there either.

Taste: Up front there is a light bit of tangy wheat flavor. It has a bit of clove in the middle. A pleasant cream of wheat flavor also comes through on the middle of the palate. It finishes with a light bit of a juniper berry flavor.

Mouthfeel: Carbonation feels good. It has a medium-light body with a good smooth character. It is easy to drink. It has a somewhat refreshing quality to it which makes it even more enjoyable.

Overall: The label on the bottle stay that this is a "HOLIDAY WHITE ALE" and that it is "CITRUSY & HAZY." It also mentions that this is made with "ORANGE PEEL AND HOLIDAY SPICES" although there doesn't seem to be any mention of what the spices are. There is a bit of a tangy character but it seems to be similar to what commonly comes through in wheat beer; it doesn't taste like orange peel at all. There is also a bit of clove flavor but that often comes from yeast used in wheat beers, so it is equally possible that this comes from either the yeast or the spices. There was some juniper berry flavor at the end too but there is no indication as to whether or not this is just another flavor from other ingredients or actual juniper berries.

As a whole the beer is still good. It is mellow enough in whatever spices it has that it will likely please most people. It isn't the best wheat beer but it's good enough that I could drink it again. I would recommend it to people who enjoy lighter wheat beers and holiday beers that don't have a lot of spice.

A - Pours a foggy apricot body, orange-tinged brown color, short white head, quick fade to a thin line and wispy cap.

S - Sweet honey malts, apple and pear fruit notes, baking spices of cardamom and clove, orange zest.

T - A fruit open, apple and banana, fading into bread malts, then a strong bitter hit that lingers after the swallow.

M - Brisk carbonation and light body, with a quick spiky finish.

O - Not their best, but a workable witbier that offers promised holiday spice and typical nice yeast notes.

Clear golden body topped by a somewhat short (for the style and vigorous pour) stark white head that has a thick and creamy appearance and good retention. Heavily carbonated. Altogether, a nice looking wheat beer.

Aroma brings bright fruit, banana, pears, clove, light citrus.

The taste puts the clove and perhaps some coriander to the front, backed by the fruit flavors and a slight bitterness. A relatively unchallenging flavor profile. Simple spiced wheat. Refreshing and enjoyable enough for what it is.

It has a light body feel with a crispness from the carbonation.

Overall, not a beer I object to being in their winter mixed pack, but not one I'd buy on its own, either.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of yeast and caramel mixed with some aromas of orange and coriander. Along with these smells comes notes of clove and a touch of citrus.
Taste- The taste starts out with a wheat bready and light grainy taste mixed with a little bit of caramel and orange citrus sweetness. At the same time there is a light clove and coriander spice as well as a little bit of lemon. As the taste advances the grain grows slightly stronger all while the spice does so as well, taking the taste to the end, where one is left with a moderately spiced and crisp, but somewhat clean taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium in thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is slightly high. For the flavors and the style the feel is rather nice and makes for an easy sipper.
Overall – A decent spiced brew with an easy-going style and feel.

hazy gold body with a chalk white bubbly head that billows but has low retention and leaves no lacing behind as it settles to a murky cap with thin halo

aroma is faint but sweet with slight spice

taste is sweet, honeyed and grainy and clove leaning into belgian-like territory; it's doughy and orange-peel laden with citrus spritz and has a slight hop bitterness towards the end

feel is mid-level carbonation and medium-light body that feels pillowy, doughy, and finishes mildly dry with a spiced, slightly peppered, and hoppy aftertaste

overall:
odd take but this hit me like a japanese lager obsessed with belgian styles. that was rough and don't @ me bro...
it's alright. it's maybe pretty good at best but also really average feeling. 10 years ago, it's mindblowing. take that as you will. would happily drink again tho

Clear deep gold, with slight orange tint. Slight , quickly-dissipating white head.

Aroma is mostly clove, and a vague fruitiness. I like clove,m but in small amounts. Hoping that there is less in the taste.

....& there is moderate clove in the flavor - more than I want - , but not to an awful, deal-killing degree. Some sweet grain flavor, a la golden ales, but less of it, a hint of orange rind, finishing with a touch of bread crust , and a saison-like spiciness.

Feel is light-medium, and generally smooth/slick , finishing with moderate carbonation tingle.

Overall it's OK. Too much clove for my taste, but if you like clove (more than I do ;) ) , you'll probably like this. My least favorite of the holiday 12pk, but as is often said here on BA, it's not going to drink itself, eh? ;)

Part of the Sam Adams Holiday Sampler. Poured in to a Sam Adams Ultimate Beer Glass.

Pours a pale yellow gold color, clear with a thin fizzy white head.

Smell is sweet, soft fruit aromas, pears and raisins, with some spice notes.

Taste is also sweet with a sharp cidery flavor. Mildly bitter sweet after taste.

Moutfeel is crisp and clean, with a dry feel.

Overall not a great wit. It's a lot like the White Christmas Ale of a few years back.
