Samuel Adams® Noble Pils is brewed with all 5 Noble hops for a distinct hop character and fresh taste. Deep golden in color with a citrusy hop aroma, Samuel Adams Noble Pils is a traditional Bohemian Pilsner. The honeyed malt character from traditional Bohemian malt is balanced by delicate yet pronounced citrus, floral, and piney notes from the Noble hops. The winner of our 2009 Beer Lover's Choice® election, this beer was chosen by over 67,000 drinkers for its crisp complexity and refreshing taste.

Appearance: Poured with a solid finger and a half of head that retained exceptionaly well and produced a good amount of lace. Carbonation is steady and the body is a crystal clear gold. A little more lacing and it would snag the five.
Smell: I suddenly understand why they've labelled this "Noble Pils" as a full choir of hops can be smelled, rising from the beer, none drowning out the others. Floral, Pine, Citrus, Earthy and almost some herbal gruit-like notes arise from the body. It seems to be fairly well reigned in.
Taste: It's very hoppy, which normally I'm not a fan of. However there is just a noticeable hop diversity that it really grows on me. Starts with floral notes that shift to more pine like hops and end with well balanced earth and grapefruit notes. Not a lot of malt on this one though.
Mouthfeel: The carbonation is exceptionally well done and the beer is smooth, but the lingering effects of bitter hop oil don't seem to depart, leaving a bitter note that overstays it's welcome.
Drinkability: Tough call on this one, it is refreshing but the hops really stop this from mixing well with anything but the strongest of cheese, fish or indian food. It also stops in from being an all night drinker.
Final Thoughts: Yeah it took me a while to get to this review because I was going to give a bottle of this to my buddy, but he had already tried it. It really fares better in the cooler spring then in the summer. This is a treat beer to welcome spring, give it a shot.

"Best by 4/4/24"; drank 11/18/23 @ the Yarchives.
See-through pale yellow appearance.
A rough pour yielded a big eggshell-colored head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lacing remained.
Fresh corn, mild caramel & faint skunky notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Sweet corn, mild caramel & faint skunky flavors.
Drinkable but I don't care for that light skunkiness.

Pours hazy golden-straw color with a good fizzy white head that doesn't last long, not much lacing, light grassy and flowery aromas. Bready and grainy mild sweetness turns hoppy and bitter with some dryness in the finish. Light bodied with a soft but crisp carbonated mouthfeel, very clean and crisp, very nice.
