12 oz. bottle poured into willibecher

A- Crystal clear pale straw. Head is white, hangs at one finger all the way through, and is rocky. A bit of lacing.

S- Floral, slightly spicy, with very faint citrus in hop nose. Backbone of grainy, lightly toasted malts.

T- Grassy, floral, and a little spicy. Toasty malt character.

M- Light bodied and crisp. Faint bitterness lingers.

O- Well European pilsner. Nice hop character adds that bite and depth.

Light straw color is a bit hazy with bright white head that disappears quickly with no lacing remaining. Don't get much of anything on the smell. Taste is light, hoppy bitter.

Brilliant golden hued with with vibrant carbonation bubbles erupting from the depths. There's a fingernail of creamy eggshell white on top. The aroma is of light bready malt and grassy hops. The flavor is a very delicate and subtle blend of faintly sourdough to honey malt with just a hint of grassy hops. The mouth is light and crisp.

This pilsner pours a pale golden color with a medium frothy white head that quickly dissipates and a somewhat high amount of carbonation. The scent has a little bit of the characteristic pilsner spiciness, but it is mostly drowned out by floral characteristics. It’s definitely not a typical pilsner scent, but as I’m not a big fan of the standard pilsner scent, I actually prefer it. The taste has more of the spicy hop snap and yeastiness that lets you know that this is in fact a pilsner, but there are also pretty bold floral, grassy, and honey notes that blend nicely with the more standard flavors. The body is light, like any pilsner. The finish is a little bit dry, but not as much as is typical with the style. This is actually possibly one of my new favorite examples of a style that I don’t typically like. It also screams “spring” and is thus a great addition to that variety pack.
