From a variety 12 pack into a regular beer glass. Frothy head with more lacing than I'm used to in a pilsner. Golden yellow with moderate carbonation. Taste is more happy than the usual pilsner. I'd have it again certainly.

L: Typical pale gold pils color, nothing special

S: Very impressed with the smell, bursting with tropical and citrus fruits, very juicy and floral smelling beer

T: Clean and crisp citrus notes, slight malt backbone, getting a sweet taste. Floral notes, quite tart.

F: Fine body, good carb, very drinkable

O: Going into this I wasn't expecting too much. I already have a thing against beers from Boston because I hate the Red Sox and Pats but boy was this a good beer. I would definitely buy this beer again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a beer on a warm day. Good work Sam Adams, good work.

Crystal clear pale golden color, thick, white head, lots of spotty lacing. Aromas and flavors of light biscuit, green apple, and lemon, plus some grassy and floral notes and a hint of pepper. Finish is a little tart, with some pleasant lingering bitterness. This is an excellent brew, with a ton of flavor and substance.

L: nothing out of the ordinary here light yellow and clear. Poured into a pilsner glass with a large head that hung around till about half way through the beer.
S: Nice halfway point between herbal and citrus with faint grain.
T: slightly sweet malt withdraws quickly to a herbal citrus hop bite. This is hop forward for a pils but nice complexity. The hops stop sharp with very little hop lingering. The finish is dry enough to make you want to take another sip.
F: Light mouthfeel with soft carbonation.
O: If you adjust your expectaions to the idea of a wee more hops for a pils, you will be very happy. I found this offering easy to drink and flavorable enough to have more.

The pilsner is my favorite style and I've been hearing for a long time about this one. I was too excited to see it included in a springtime 12-pack.

It lived up to the hype, with heavy floral bitterness and a fleeting sense of citrus, though not as citrusy as Prima Pils or Pivo. Not much sweetness going on.

A tasty, hoppy lager that I wish were more available in the PNW.

Well, if you are a hops lover, I believe you will love this as it is very heavy on the hops. Not much balance with the malts... which I lean towards....sorry all you hopheads. But, this is nicely done and , as par, a powerful offering from the Boston Beer Company.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle, into a Cigar City pint glass.

Thick, frothy, white head that stands 1 finger tall.Bright gold colored body, with beautiful clarity.Very light carbonation.

Bright citrus and floral hop notes, with trace elements of sweet malts. The aromas are pretty faint in this beer, hard getting any kind of nose at all really.

On the palate I get a very good balance of floral and citrus hops, with sweet malts up front and in the middle. On the back end I get some spice characteristics.

The body has a light somewhat sticky mouth feel, with light oxidation on the tongue.Smooth yet slightly dry finish.

This beer is pretty much what I come to expect out of a beer made by Sam Adams.A solid beer, but nothing extraordinary. Not something I would chase, but not something I would turn down.
