Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Samuel Adams Boston Lager glass. Taken from Sam Adams's "Harvest Collection" seasonal variety pack.
Appearance: Pours a translucent, bright brown color. Has a large, frothy head that dissipates slowly and leaves behind considerable lacing. Looks nice.
Smell: Smells strongly of Simcoe and other aromatic hops. Enticing...
Taste: Strong hop flavors throughout with enough maltiness to not make it overwhelming. Earthy notes dominate with a hint of pininess. Leaves a great hoppy aftertaste.
Mouthfell: Well-carbonated and medium-bodied.
Overall: A slightly above average IPA. I not sure about the decision to include it in a fall seasonal pack, but it probably works pretty well year-round. Not bad, but not something I would go out of my way to buy

Medium orange hue; very see-through. Obviously filtered.
Noticeable bitterness & hop aroma in the nose.
Nice white head, good lacing throughout.
As for the taste...where did the hops go?! They're in the nose but vanish on the tongue. Tastes very much like a lager to me. This has 3 months left on it's 'best before' date, so can't blame it on age.
Watery, with no discernable flavor. A touch of bitterness on the back end, but hardly noticeable. After an interesting nose, this macro falls way flat.
