This turned out to be exactly what I thought it would be.
Nothing that will knock your socks off but nothing offensive. Just an easy drinking light lager for sitting around the pool or watching a game.
Doesn't really do anything to separate itself from others of the kind but it doesn't have the sweetness that a lot of the big boys do.
I could actually see myself picking up a sixer of this if it were available just for the pool

Clear, very pale gold, with 1/2 finger of white head.
Smell is lightly-sweet light toasted grain, slight vague fruitiness, a mild floral aroma, and a bit fresh straw. At first I detected a bit of citrus. That faded as the head dissipated.
Taste is more-or-less same as aroma, but about half as strong. Light bitterness and noble hop spiciness at finish. A little of the fruity sweetness lingers afterwards.
Feel is light, but not watery, with moderate carbonation tingle, that verges on prickly. Drying finish ad aftertaste.
For what it is , not bad. Flavor is fine, just not much of it. No flaws, just a bit weak in the flavor department. One of the better ones I've had in this vein.

I typically relegate my 'light beer' drinking to sporting events, and usually because there is nothing else available. This particular variety came in a recent Sam's mix pack. From a white aluminum can, this one is pale yellow in color, very transparent, and highly effervescent. There is very little head. The smell is grainy, grassy, and similar to most other light brews. The taste has a bit more character...it is dryish, but has a light grain and hop flavor throughout. More body than expected. I wouldn't seek it out, but it was okay for what it is.

A solid choice for a light lager that stays in its lane. The color is extremely light. A subtle yet delightful nose. The flavor is the strong point of this beer. It has a really nice citrus undertone . Highly crushable and does what light lagers do just better.

12oz can into a Pils glass.
Looks like it should.
Smells good, better then expected.
Tastes way better then anticipaed and much better then the previous Sam Adams Light.
Very Drinkable and could go all night and be happy with this one.

I couldn’t wait to try this because I am always looking for a summer BBQ beer or session beer when I know I’ll be watching games all day. I absolutely refuse to drink macro lights. This resonates of your Dad’s beer but in a good way. Nice sharp biting mouth which you want from a beer like this but then you don’t get the corn tannins you get in a bud, miller, coors product. Instead in holds a nice body with a slight taste of barley. Quite refreshing and drinkable. I might stock it year round.

I hesitate to put Sam Adams in the same category as other domestic brews, but I will say it blows Bud Light, Mich Ultra, Coor Light, etc. out of the water.
The first thing you’ll notice is that there is an abundance of flavor that sets it apart from its counterparts. The drinkability is also far superior because it seems to be slightly less carbonated.
This is my new go to light lager option.

Pours with minimal head (disappears instantly) and light golden color. Smell is sickeningly sweet & with a very strong banana smell, and slightly skunky (fresh pack). Taste is the exact same, like banana juice and the skunk is a bit stronger. No perceivable hop flavor or balance. Flavor disappears instantly, goes down like water. I'm normally a fan of Adams' products, but this one is a complete misfire.

Pours brilliant bright and crystal clear light gold; the head is pure white, settles quite fast but not as fast as some; light film persists but swirling brings back nice head again.
Nose is quite nice, it’s a very lively aroma for the style; hits the light sweetness in the form of some white bread, but there is touch of something more, a very light toast quality to it, hops are there light mix of floral and herbaceous.
Taste is what you’d expect for an AAL, but it’s nicely balanced; again lightly sweet but with a little extra something from the malt; almost like fresh milled malt; there is a light hop character; mostly herbaceous to me.
Body is really nice; light, perhaps a touch watered down but not overly sweet, and it really dries out pretty nice; carbonation is lightly effervescent and smooth; very light bitterness, it says very low IBUs but it comes off a bit more noticeable to me.
As someone who enjoys AAL I like this beer and will probably grab a six pack when the time is right, aka warmer weather.

I did not care for this beer at all. Purchased a 12 pack of Sam's winter variety. Nose feel/smell is not pleasant for me. Smells of citrus and for some reason slightly skunky. Poured from a 12 oz. can into a pilsner glass, a small head that quickly disappears leaving little lacing. There is plenty of carbonation. I could taste the citrus (lemon) but little else. This is really a nothing beer for me.
