Sam Adams Double Pumpkin through Randall of vanilla, cinnamon, clove, and roasted barley (draft)
A: pours dark amber body, almost auburn with a small, white head with low retention and lacing.
S: sweet, clove taste; subtle sweet malty smell
T: sweet, alcohol, clove, nutmeg, cinnamon, and subtle vanilla notes; pretty good tasting beer; some alcohol note aftertaste
M: pretty thin, nothing too impressive
O: ok feel and taste combo, but mouthfeel could have been a little bit better

Tried this at Eli Cannon's in Middletown, CT. Came in a tulip glass with about a half inch of head. Not much lacing if any. Dark cola color. Smells slightly of cinnamon and pumpkin spice. Tastes like nag champa. Its pretty good.

This goes a long with the October theme, of course this makes a great brew when the leaves are falling. A different variety to the Oktoberfests. This one has variations of sweet and bitter. This one seems to a bit drier than the others but still has a sweet finish. One of my favorites from Sam Adams again. This one takes the sweetness and crispness to a whole new level!

An amazing pumpkin ale. Very hard to find near me. It's pretty dark compared to others. Smell has the usual spices. Taste is nice sweet pumpkin goodness. Try it

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a dark brown/black colored body and left a one finger white foamy head that lasted less than twenty seconds. The body was too dark for any carbonation to be seen rising. Some nice light yet filmy/foamy lacing appeared but settled and slid down the sides of the glass. The smell was superb as not just pumpkin, but allspice, ginger, clove, some slight molasses and cinnamon speckled themselves throughout the entire "pumpkin" aroma. Big wow (at least to me). The taste had all of these typical flavorings and added a slight caramel flavoring, a bit of malt and some extra rich dark fruitiness to it. The palate sat about a medium with nothing harsh on the tongue. This wasn’t exactly a very drinkable beer, could be close to a palate wrecker with all that was going on with it. It has a sweet dry finish. Overall, though not very drinkable, I really liked this, probably would have been better if I saved this just a tad longer. This is a very good "pumpkin" ale.

Pours an orange color with a foamy head that lasts quite a while. Aroma is pumpkin pie spice. Sweet taste of pumpkin spices and brown sugar. A strong alcohol flavor.
