Sampling right now on 8/28/14. Comes in a nice 22 ounce (1 pint, 6 ounces) single bottle that costs around $4.99. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured in to a 'Sam Adam's Boston Lager' glass.

Pours a very dark brown with some ruby highlights that has about a good 1/2 finger off-white foamy head that settles down to about a 2mm layering on top and a bit more on the sides of the glass. Some spotty lacing is seen when sipped but not a lot. The aroma is full of pumpkin and spices! Very pleasant and makes me wish it was autumn! Lots more going on with the taste with a good amount of punkin flavor with some spice that probably consists of clove and nutmeg with some malts. Very tasty and medium bodied. Goes down easy with no bitter or harsh aftertaste at all. Perfect carbonation for this type of brew. One of the better pumpkin seasonals

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 1 pint 6 oz bottle into a tulip glass. The label lists the abv at 8.5% abv and it also lists the beers ingredients.

Appearance: Fat Jack has a dark garnet red color with good clarity. I can just make out some nice lively carbonation flowing up though the beer. From a slow pour down the middle of the glass I got a nice tight collar of foam. It’s light beige in color and hangs on well. This makes for some cool lacing on the glass.

Smell: The aroma is full of tasty spices and malty goodness. It brings notes of cinnamon and fresh out of the oven ginger bread with a nice boozy kick.

Taste / Palate: There is a lot going on in this full bodied festive beer. The base has a solid gingerbread like maltiness with loads of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. It also has notes of vanilla and a very mild bourbon like boozy character. In the middle of all this there is a very mild squash/sweet potatoe like sweetness. The finish brings some light herbal hop bitterness and dryness which blends with the dry spice within. The dry spice lingers and begs you to take another sip.

Poured from a 22 oz bomber bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- I can easily note spices from the first removal of the bottle top. Definite pumpkin and cinnamon aroma, very inviting. Appearance- A very nice clear red color. Taste - Excellent flavor, one of my favorite pumpkin beers. You can taste the pumpkin and cinnamon but you know it is still a well crafted brew beneath the surface,. Palate- A full bodied experience with a strong booze finish. A great dry finish. Overall- One of my favorite pumpkins to date. Highly recommended.
