From tasting notes. L: Pours brilliant amber crowned by a 2” light tan tinted off-white foam collar with a very fine bead. Provides thick lace.
S: Moderate to big hop nose
T: Background clean malty sweetness carries the hop flavors, like putting some sugar in a really strong iced tea – it brings things into balance. Alcohol is smooth, not hot. Bitterness is moderately high.
F: Medium full bodied, medium carbonation.
O: Well balanced, crisp, refreshing and well made.

Pours a clear medium amber producing 2+ fingers of beige, moderately lasting, foamy head that leaves a nice coating of streaky, webby lace with a thick rim ring. Aroma is a weak balance of sweet caramel malt mixed with floral, resinous pine & pithy citrus hops with background hints of honey, vanilla & a distinct sour note. Taste is fronted by caramel malt, floral, orange, grapefruit & pineapple hops swimming in a sea of pine resin hoppiness. The sour note of the nose is much less prominent but still there in the mouth. Alcohol is noticeable & there is a plastic-like hint that becomes stronger as you approach the finish. Nicely bitter but moderately balanced finish, gravitating to sweet & becoming a balanced bitter/sweet aftertaste which becomes mostly bitter with time. Balanced for such a hop heavy brew. Mouthfeel is moderately heavy bodied with moderate carbonation, chewy, rich, creamy but prickly.

Disappointed in this. Expected better from a special release. Intersting subtle malty aroma
