Very nasty beer. Pours a hazy golden color with a small head and a lot of sediment floating in it. Super hoppy taste and smell overly carbonated and a harsh swallow. Would not recommend to ANYONE.

Samuel Adams Whitewater IPA brewed by Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams) This IPA had an ABV of 5.80% The pour on Whitewater IPA is a nice golden amber color with a nice thick white head. There is also a fair amount of lacing to this IPA. The smell of Whitewater IPA is hops, grains and malts. Thought there would be more hops to the smell of this brew. There is also a slight bitterness to the smell of this brew. Now for the taste, it is smooth with flavors. You do pick up on some hop bitterness, and some smoothness of grains and malts. There is a lot going on in Samuel Adams Whitewater IPA. This IPA is more milder than most IPA's on the market, not saying that is a bad thing. I like how smooth this brew goes down. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a real nice balance to it. The month feel of Samuel Adams Whitewater IPA is smooth, rich, clean and refreshing. Overall I'm giving this brew a 4.25 out of 5. This is a nice ligher IPA on the market, not saying that is a bad thing. I really like how smooth this brew is and how nice it is to drink. I would buy this brew again. Boston Beer Company (Samuel Adams) did a real nice job with this brew. If you are looking for a lighter less Hoppy IPA look this brew up.

Poured at 45°F from a 12oz bottle (best before September 2016) into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Consumed on 19Aug16.
SMELL: Strong apricot, mango, papaya, guava, and peach aromas entangle with mild aromas of wheat, and lemon zest along with subtle aromas of coriander, orange peel, and hints of cloves.
4.5 out of 5
TASTE: Mild flavors of wheat and coriander join together to introduce the taste profile. Mild flavors of apricot and lemon zest along with subtle mango, papaya, peach, and guava flavors immediately follow as the coriander flavors grow slightly stronger. The profile closes with subtle orange peel, bitter hop, and clove flavors as all prior ones persist.
3.75 out of 5
NOTE: This was a good example of the style. The smell was unfortunately much more potent than the taste. I had thought this was going to be a tropical fruit explosion, but ended up experiencing a mildly refreshing and sessionable beer. I recommend to anyone curious about the style. After trying this, one could seek better beers of the style.

This IPA pours a very slightly cloudy light orange color with a medium foamy white head. The smell is exactly how it’s described, like a Belgian white ale and IPA cross, although it tends slightly towards the IPA end. There are notes of citrus, pine, wheat, herbal notes, some Belgian spices, and some yeast. It’s a pretty interesting and complex scent. The taste has a similar profile, although it is even more heavily leaning towards IPA characteristics. The orange and especially pine flavors mostly take over. There is definitely some wheat aspect, but the yeast and spiciness becomes almost undetectable in the flavor. The body is medium, which is actually a little heavier than I would have guessed. The finish is quite dry and there is some lingering hop bitterness. Kind of an interesting take on an IPA, but I think it would have been more interesting to see if the white ale characteristics were intensified and the pine notes were toned down. That could very well have made it worse though, as I don’t know if this is a great idea for a hybrid beer. It’s worth trying, but it’s nothing amazing.

L: Hazy yellow color. Half inch foamy head with good retention.

S: Citrus and floral notes.

T: Maybe a little bit of fruity notes but mostly bitter hop taste. Tastes mostly like an IPA, not really tasting any Belgian influence.

F: Left my mouth feeling dry. Moderate carbonation.

O: Not a good Belgian white or IPA. Flavors just didn't seem to blend all that well, but it's not terrible.
