Poured from a 22oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep amber color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains caramelized malts, fruit, spices and a good amount of hops.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of caramel, fruit, brown sugar and mild spices. Then some breadiness comes in from a hearty malt character. The hops presence is strong for the style and provides a good balance. The after-taste is herbal and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while if you want something slightly different.

Medium-thick body, Dark, mostly opaque, copper/amber with a lace of off white head. Aroma is of of roasted malt with hints of fruit and toffee . Taste is malt and tart to start fading to a malty coffee like after taste. Very thick with little carbonation it drinks smooth but leaves a thick chewy feel. Taste strengthens greatly as it warms, best at around 60- 65* as it get overwhelming as it continues to warm.

22oz bottle poured into a tulip

A- pours a deep amber color wit a small creamy white head that reduces to a ring around the glass, short lasting lace lace left behind

S- lots of sweet malty aromas with an emphasis on caramel/toffee, brown bread and raisin. Slight medicinal juniper tartness comes through

T- sweet, malty and grainy up front with some raisins and bread. The juniper definitely comes through, providing a berry-like tartness with some medicinal/herbal notes, grainy finish with more malty sweetness

M- thick and viscous body with moderate prickly carbonation leads to a thick and creamy mouthfeel and a chewy heavy finish

O- this drinks like a juniper-infused scotch ale, quite interesting

22 oz bottle, poured into a goblet

Appearance: Pours a very pretty, deep, dark mahogany color, speckled with reddish highlights and a full finger of white-colored head that quickly dissolved away into a thin lacing of foam that gripped the sides of the glass and partially covered the top of the beer.

Aroma: Very aromatic. Rich aromas of toasted malt, dried stone fruit, like raisins, apricots, prunes, as well as aromas of honey and dark molasses.

Taste: Interesting flavors of dried stone fruit up front, such as prunes, dates, figs and raisins, followed by strong notes of molasses and brown sugar-like sweetness. The beer finishes with a touch of herbaceous bitterness at the finish. Not quite hoppy, but herbaceous.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied and pretty smooth as there is very little, but a touch, of carbonation. With an ABV of 7.0%, there is no alcohol on the palate.

Overall: A very tasty beer. I really like the flavors of dried stone fruit and molasses and brown sugar-like sweetness. The herbaceous bitterness as the finish provides a very interesting counterpoint as well.

Very noticeable hints of juniper. Full body. Medium-dark color. A bit of a boozy after-breath. Delicious beer though. Ive found its best consumed @ > 50 degrees F.
