Appearance: Extremely clear. Yellowish gold.
Smell: Lemon and citrus. Fruity.
Taste Slightly tart. Lemon juice and citrus.
Mouthfeel: Light carbonation.

I really enjoyed this. It doesn't pack any spectacular punches, but it is rather refreshing. The smell and taste both compliment the same, citrusy lemon effect. I think this would be best enjoyed served quite cold on a very hot day. Give this to a non-beer drinker as I did. She said, "This doesn't taste like beer at all!" I would possibly get this again.

So the biggest American craft brewery enters the "shandy-stakes" with this lemon-accented lager, and it's not bad.
Upon pouring a clean golden, I get a nice and fine white head and some pleasing but thin lace.

Nose is citrusy, but not overbearingly sweet.

Flavor is well-balanced with the lemon being not so forward as in other similar brews I've had. Enjoyable.

A: Pours a clear straw yellow color with a fingers worth of head that fizzles out quickly

S: Light malts and big lemon (both peel and general lemon). Slight pepper as well

T: Follows the nose, definitely get both the beer and lemonade aspects, the malts are really the only thing holding the beer up and the lemon flavor really stands out. Still somehow balanced

M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation

O: One of the better radler/shandy beers I've had that are put out on the market. The beer actually stands fairly well despite having the lemon flavors slightly dominating. Fits the season well.

Side note: I think this should be a different style in itself, with all the different ones coming out on the market. It's difficult to rate it as strictly a fruit beer, but that's just my opinion.

pours a light golden in color less than a finger head and no lace to speak of. nice strong lemon citrus aroma with a bready wheat like lemon taste. light to medium mouthfeel that ends very clean. its 90 degrees today and this beer is doing the job very well.

Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Karl Strauss pint glass
From: VONS in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $12.97 (w/ VONS card) for the summer variety 12-pack
Purchased: March 25, 2013
Consumed: April 5, 2013
Misc.: Enjoy by Aug. 2013

Poured a honey golden hazy color with two fingers of cream white head that dissipated almost right away. Lots of bubbles in the beginning, but that gave way to the surprisingly murky and not clear look. No lacing on the sides on the way down, very bad retention.

Smelled citrus notes, got lemon, lime and peach. Lemon zest and lemon/lime juice. Also some honey and clean, crisp grass hops. Reminded me of the days of cleaning a Mexican restaurant. Just those lemon and limes on the Corona’s and margaritas.

Tasted similar to the nose. Sweet lemon and sweet lime. Almost like a sugary, sweet cider or a Zima, but better. I’ll admit this is my first Radler type, but it’s nice and refreshing. Almost like a liquor mix.

Light body. Thin texture. Average-to-soft (below average) carbonation. Clean, crisp and refreshing finish.

Not a bad beer for the type. Definitely different and definitely good for summer.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a Sam Adams "Perfect Pint" glass.

Appearance: Pours a bright and clear golden straw orange with a lot of rising bubbles. Big four finger white head with decent retention. Leaves a lot of lacing clinging to the glass.

Smell: A fairly tart and sweet citrus lemon driven aroma. Big scent of lemon juice upfront along with some hints of orange. Smells a lot like a glass of lemon lime soda. Pale malt background with some hints of bready biscuit, cracker, grains, and yeast. Very zesty with a slight hint of spice. Decent aroma.

Taste: Like it smells, a tart taste driven by zesty lemon juice and backed by a light bready malt presence. Big taste of lemon lime juice throughout along with some orange. Soft bready pale malts with notes of biscuit, grains, cracker, and yeast. Pilsner malt undertones. Kind of tastes more like a lemon soda than a lager beer but the malt is noticeable. Decent for the style.

Mouthfeel: Light bodied with a fairly high level of carbonation. Crisp, clean, and very smooth. Fairly tart.

Overall: An ok fruit juice beer. Does what it sets out to be, a hot weather thirst quencher. More lemon soda like than beer but its a decent soda/beer.

Pours a pale helles like golden color with a bright white head forming thick, this one seems to do the style justice, even talking visually by itself. Aroma has citrus zest pale biscuit malts, really smells like lemonade, but there's still a beer in there somewhere. Flavor speaks better of the actual beer brewed here, refreshing hints of lemon zest with quality biscuit toasted malts and mild light herbal hops in the back end. Mouthfeel is light with moderate to strong carbonation flowing forth, a bit of bitter zest left behind on the palate but nothing too sweet or cloying in this beer. Overall, a quality refreshing beer that goes down smooth, bubbly drinking summer beer blended with lemonade.

This one really surprised me as I wasn't expecting much. It's very, VERY lemony. Sweet but not tart. Crisp and refreshing brew for a hot summer day. Not much pop, so it could use a little more carbonation. Serve it very cold. I'd buy again.
