A: Clear orangish yellow, huge head with slight lacing, lazy carbonation visible.

S: Yeast up front, slight lemon follows. Would've like more lemonade in this.

T: Exact opposite of smell: Lemonade up front which turns tart in the middle, and as it fades away the yeasty taste comes out on the back of the tongue.

M: Thin body, slight but right amount of carbonation.

O: Extremely refreshing, a little too sweet if you aren't drinking this with food, but definitely my first approved summer favorite of 2014.

12oz bottle best before August 2014. Served in a shaker pint

Appearance: Pours a light golden yellow color with 2 fingers of a white soapy head that dissipates to a thin ring and coating. Body is relatively clear.

Smell: Lemon soda, crackery malt, grain, slight grassiness. Aroma strength is relatively low.

Taste: Same as the aroma, lemon soda like sweetness, cereal grain, slightly grassy.

Mouthfeel: Light and crisp with medium prickly carbonation. Easy drinking and refreshing.

Overall: Not really a whole lot going on here. This is pretty straightforward stuff, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Strictly as a beer this would rate lower, since the lemon component is really the most prominent, but for the hybrid sort of beverage that it is, it works well.

Sam Adams makes a great variety of stuff. Some good, some bad. I'm always willing to try new stuff from them.

Look: Poured a litte into a glass just to see the color. Very pale, clear yellow. Otherwise, I just drink it from the bottle.

Smell: Lemon with some wheat and bread.

Taste: Lemon, wheat, crisp. Very light, good for a hot day.

Mouthfeel: Very carbonated, again, good for a summer day, I think.

Overall: I don't have much to say about this beer. It's pretty decent. A good beer for a hot day, very crisp and refreshing. It's pretty adequate, and I'd gladly drink it.

I like a shandy every now and then, especially in warmer weather. However it is always hard to rate them because it is a blend. The appearance was a nice hazy yellow with a smell of a lot of citrus. The taste is a pretty standard shandy with a very light feel to it. If it's a hot day and you need something to cool yourself off, this is a very refreshing beverage. However, don't go into this thinking that you're going to get something groundbreaking.
