This beer is under rated. It has a nice slightly cloudy yellow color, and has a good head and lacing. The smell is slightly sweet and spicy. Taste is a very pleasant mix of spice and fruit, especially orange. I am happy to see it in six packs this year. Please, next Old Fezziwig in six packs!

From the bottle, it pours a hazy lighter amber with a nice head, soon reducing to a nice ring. Lacing as you enjoy it. Light scent, I get more spices than anything else. Taste is malty with Christmas spices. Acceptable.

L: Pours hazy straw gold under a sticky, persistent 2” white foam collar.
S: Herbal and spice with some bread.
T: Bread, caramel, orange peel, lemon, citrus, with some cinnamon and light drying in the finish.
F: Medium light body and medium high carbonation.
O: Big wheat beer flavors that might appeal to a wide audience.

12oz bottle into SA Perfect Pint glass.

A: Pours a lightly cloudy golden with lemon highlights beneath a short lived soft looking bright white head that faded into a fuzzy film. Thin wisps of lace were left down the glass.
S: Clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon are easily noticeable upon first whiff. I get notes of wheat and chalky yeast and a touch of citrus following.
T: Creamy wheat flavors mixed with minerally yeast and syrupy citrus flavors. Cinnamon and nutmeg are still prominent. Everything has kind of a syrupy greasy flavor/feel to it that is a bit off putting. The aftertaste is synthetic and contains notes of black pepper and white grape juice.
M: Very soft and frothy carbonation goes well with a very creamy medium body and smooth mouthfeel. This beer is greasy though and coasts my mouth strangely.
O: A step fuller and creamier than the really bad ones of the style, but I did not care for this one a whole lot more than I care for those. Flavors are as described on the bottle but taste synthetic and syrupy, and everything has an oily texture to it. Not the worst the definitely not the best offering from BBC.

Part of Winter Variety Pack - Best by April:

Pours clouded light orange-amber with a fluffy head that soon thins. Thin lacing sticks.

The smell is of wheat tang with mild spices.

The taste is of wheat tang, orange peel, coriander, nutmeg, mint, mild cinnamon. It has a tangy, spicy, crisp finish.

It is light-bodied and fairly effervescent.

A mild witbier with some "holiday" spices. Not bad.

I really enjoyed this beer. I enjoyed it along side ken burns doc on prohibition. I really loved the taste and feel. It is a very nicely crafted beer. One of my favorites. Sadly I can't get anymore now that its January. Shame on me

Opaque. Hazy. Bubbly. Honey-amber. Fine, off-white, medium-retention head that soon develops into a film and lace on the sides. Smells at first of bread and yeast, but this gives way to cinnamon, quite good and not very strong. Perhaps nutmeg as well, as indicated by the label, but not much for orange peel yet. Palate definitely favors cinnamon, nutmeg throughout, much more so the former, but wheat and yeast character more present than they were in smell, giving it both grain and white whine undertones. Aftertaste is watered down cinnamon which almost reminds me of banana, of all things, and very mild citrus, which could pass for orange peel, though not very rindy or bitter. Medium bodied, a bit watery, but silky once loads of fine prickles have subsided. Far from the worst witbier I've had, and though it's not terribly high on my list of styles, I'm somewhat surprised it's not more highly rated.

Poured into a sam adams "perfect pint" glass.

Pours a hazy near orange with a initial inch thick fluffy head. Head settles to a lace head and some decent lace on the sides remain. Decent looks.

Brew smells spiced as labled; cinnamon, nutmeg, citrus and a bready wheat to even out the nose. Good nose.

Brew is spiced; has really good mix of winter brew spices and a summer wheat brew. Complexity is good, wish more witbiers had spices like this. Cinnamon, nutmeg and nice malty wheat body. Orange and spices go great together. A very drinkable brew that has lots of flavors. Good stuff.

I liked this onme alot, I almost wish this could be a year roubd brew. A more interesting and complex witbier.

Appearance: this beer pours a hazy orange color and is topped with 1” of white head that lingers.
Smell: This smells like I expect a white ale to smell with the coriander and orange scents highlighting the aroma.
Taste: The flavor is a tad bit dull compared to the aroma just not as much snap to the flavors that are rather blended together instead of tasting each flavor separately.
Mouthfeel: It is spot on with the body not to light that it loses flavor but not too heavy that it is hard to drink

Poured from a bottle into a Sam Adams Glass.

Appearance: Hazy yellow color with lots of carbonation. It had about one finger of white head that did not last long leaving a thin head.

Smell: Wheat, citrus, cinnamon, and maybe some nutmeg. Close to what a Pumpkin Ale smells like.

Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Taste of some cinnamon/sugar/nutmeg with wheat and hops.

Overall: Decent holiday brew, I will buy this one again.

Poured into a beer mug.

Appearance- Pours a murky cider-like color with a three finger off white head that clings to the glass for a while.

Smell- The small is weaker than I expected; has orange notes and maybe some spices toward the end.

Taste- The taste is wheat-y with a hint of orange and some subtle spices on the aftertaste. Nice balanced flavors.

Mouthfeel- Very smooth and lightly carbonated.

Overall- A refreshing beer; a welcome addition to this year's holiday pack. Light, smooth, and satisfying.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle with an expiration date of March 2014. Sampled on November 15, 2013.

It has a mostly golden to orange pour. The fizzy white head erupts than diminishes.

The aroma brings out some malt characters along with citrus and spice as well a slight hope note.

The body is light to medium

The taste is really quite typical of a wit with the toasted pale malt notes, citrus, and mild hop bit. But it feels generally clean all the way through.

Bought this as part of the 2012 Winter variety pack and trying this one first as it appears to be the new addition this year.

Pours a hazy yellow orange color. Small white snowy head subsides rather quickly leaving a smallish sudsy white layer on the top of the beer.

The nose is inviting with layers of tart oranges , grapefruit, holiday spices of nutmeg, cinammon, and floral characteristics.

I find this beer to be complex on the palate. Much going on here. Similar characteristics as on the nose, but in waves of deep layers - very good!

Better than average mouthfeel caps off this beer.

Definitely a repeater.
