Clear almost golden with no lacing and minimal film.

Spices are upfront with light malts and fruity hops. Spices punctuate the whole.

Is fairly... turbulent. Spices strafe the tongue while hops and effervescent carbonation.

Overall it's good but not great. Not bad but.... intentionally.

Leave this alone. My take on most flavored beers is like flavored coffees - what's wrong with the bean? What's missing in the hop & malt and water?
A: Pours hazy yellow to light amber with a small flat head and little lace.
S: Smell is the best part - subtle, spicy aroma with predominate cinnamon and nutmeg, followed by caramel, bread dough, like a sticky bun.
T: The taste follows the aroma, with bake shop sticky bun cloy, and typical winter fruit cake spicing and dought, bready flavor. Too sweet, too cloying, annoying.
M: Gums up my tongue, neither good for food or late evening, perhaps it's good for a sleigh ride.

Average - why bother other than can sell at xmas. Pass.

Bottle to Pint glass.

AROMA: Aroma of Pine
LOOK: Cloudy Yellow. Small Head.
TASTE: Light citrus, light spice (nutmeg?)). For some reason the aftertaste reminds me of clams?
FEEL: A bit sluggish, like a wet sponge.

Not a bad beer. Quite light for a Christmas ale, but the pine and spices make it have a holiday feel

Drinks like a crappy drink your relative makes up for the holidays. Notes of nuts and fruit and random spices. Smooth like all witbiers, the malt aroma/ taste is great, but masked by a bunch of added flavors.

This witbier pours a slightly opaque orange color with a thin white head. The smell is very spicy with hints of gingerbread, cinnamon, allspice, and nutmeg. The taste confirms the smell. The spices are not over done in my opinion though they boldly overlay a nice medium / light bodied malt backbone. The flavor is fairly sweet for a beer, but not cloying. This beer screams Christmas, but it still tastes very much like a beer. This is definitely one of the better Sam Adam’s beers in my opinion though it wasn’t rated that well. I do agree that they could have upped the alcohol content, but still it's a nice addition to what I think is Sam Adam’s strongest season for variety packs, winter.

had this from the bottle so idk about the look. was definitely able to pick up the intended flavors on nose and palate... just not sure how well it works. wheat, orange, cinnamon, and nutmeg showing up - maybe a bit much at times? not a bad beer by any means but not something id order at a bar or seek out at a beer store.
