Picked this one up in the spring sampler box, poured into a Sammy glass.
An ipl, not sure on this one but wow, a nice brew indeed.
A good looking beer. Amber, copper with a tan thin head, maintained well, thin lace.
Aroma straight from the bottle at cap off. Citric hop, pine and grapefruit.
Taste is Chrystal hops, malts, grapefruit citric hop, pine and some candied sugar sweetness. A good well balanced flavor.
Mouth is very smooth, soft and a citric flavor treat.
Drink ability very easy at 5.0. While a smooth bounty of flavor comes forth.
Overall a better Sammy sample than most. I say bottle this one.

Poured into a pokal a clear medium golden with a nice looking one finger fluffy white crown that left multiple chunks of lace behind as it settles very slowly.Grapefruit rind and piney hops stand out in the nose, like an old school ipa, light toasted grain comes into play as well.Flavors start with a punch citric hops with a more pronounced malty bread-like presence,it finishes a little watery though wich nipped everything in the bud a little.A good beer, take away the watery finish and this outstanding,as is it's still pretty good.

Pours a perfect amber and copper tinted color with exception clarity from head to toe. The foamy white head reduces to a thin skin that sits atop the beer. Extremely spotty lacing - barely enough to really even call it lacing. Nose is a bit light, contains little bits of orange peel, vegetal hops, very light white pepper spice, slight onion tones, some grassy notes, and maybe some mild "steel-y" caramel flavors. There's a strange aroma mixed in there that pops out every now and then, but I still can't quite put my finger on it. Not off-putting, but a little different. I wonder what it is...
Taste is crisp and snaps on the tongue thanks to the overall thin body and heavy carbonation. Contains a hefty helping of lemon and grapefruit pith - inserting quite the bitter bite, or at least, much bitter than I was expecting. Some more lemon and orange zest notes join at the end and add a bit of sweetness. Hops are kind of leafy and grassy, maybe even with a little bit of pine now. I'm still picking up a touch of pepper spice and onions, though they're not as strong anymore. Light sweetness from the toasted caramel malts in the aftertaste, though it's moreover dominated by the fading hop bitterness. Dry and bready finish.
Pretty damn good for a 5% ABV lager - this is something you could definitely session with. Not the tastiest thing on the planet, but it's certainly worth the price and content for the low alcohol tax.

A gold-colored beer with a medium-sized white head that left some very pretty lace.
Hoppy aroma of pine and citrus, with an aroma lingering in the background that I finally interpreted as onion. Interesting, not offensive.
Mostly pine and herbal hops. A bit of grapefruit. Bready.
Crisp mouthfeel, as advertised. Two went down pretty quickly and easily.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass. The label lists the ABV 5% and there is a short description of the beer.
Appearance: It has a golden honey body with a creamy white head on top. This head has good retention and makes nice leasing on the glass.
Smell: There are nice citrusy hops with notes of tangerines and grapefruit as well as some tropical fruit.
Taste / Palate: The flavor picks up all the hop notes from the nose and adds them to a nice bread base malt. It has a solid medium body with balanced carbonation and mellow bitter finish.

Part of the Samuel Adams Mix-pack, purchased at Peekskill Bev, Peekskill, NY. Best before July 2013 notched onto the label.
Pours clear medium amber. Frothy lite tan head, leaves ample and lasting low sheeting and bits of lace low in the glass.
Floral and leafy hop nose.
Better then average hop package, especially for the style. Easy drinking and pleasing brew, decent sessioner at 5%. Nothing special, but would work just fine in a pinch, sort of a hoppy brew with training wheels. Good one to encourage a hoppy beer newbie to check out.
