12 oz bottle. Pours deep golden with long lasting, foamy, white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of orange, citrusy hops and bready malt. Body is medium and slightly crisp. Citrusy hops, bready and caramel malt some cotton candy fill the moth. Finish is long IPA like. There is some mismatch of flavors but, on the whole, it is good brew.

Finally a good beer in this variety pack! It has a nice lager taste.

A-Pours a nice copperish color which is a little cloudy. Nice foamy head.

S-Nice lager smell that gets the mouth ready for a tasty beer.

T-I was surprised by how good this beer actually tastes. It has a nice lager feel to it.

M-The mouthfeel is pretty decent and it has a nice body that feels smooth in the mouth.

O-This would be a beer I would purchase again and has a nice cold dry lager flavor.

Picked up a single in early February from Fry's as part of a mixed sixer for $1.50. Best by June 2014.

Beer poured golden orange with a nice white head that dissipated pretty quickly but is leaving lacing behind.

Nose is light cereal with hints of citrus.

Taste is pretty well balanced between the cereal malts and the citrus and tropical fruit hop. Finish leaves a bit of of pine resin.

Mouthfeel is decently carbonated and refreshing.

Overall this is a pretty tasty brew that is nice and refreshing. Makes for a nice warm weather refresher.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

Look: Solid copper colored body, a cream colored head calms to a film, decent lines of foamy lacing.

Aroma: Spicy pine and wood, subtle grapefruit.

Taste: A spicy wood note comes first, followed by more bitter hops and grapefruit citrus.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied.

Overall: Pretty decent flavor overall, hit the spot for a hop craving.

As with many others, I wasn't going into this with a lot of pre-exiting knowledge. That being said, one would expect citrus, floral, pine, earthy with extreme smoothness shining through with the lager-ing process and yeast.

Copper-hued clarity screams at you as you gaze at the glass.
Aroma is a pronounced IPA signature, with the hops playing the prominent role.
Taste is all IPA, with a punch of citrusy tang. The bitter profile carries through the palate leaving a bittering finish...perhaps, perhaps a slight bit smoother than your average IPA.
Mouthfeel is the norm.

This beer delivers most of what it claims. However I didn't pick up the lager tranquility. It seemed very heavy handed on the IPA side of the scale, but not too much on the lager end. Even in the finish. I have to say, though, this was sampled AFTER a Stone IPA and a Goose Island IPA. Which in my opinion, should have made the lager smooth profile really stand out from heavily hopped intentional IPA's.

All of that being said, I did enjoy the beer immensely. Even to introduce non believers to IPA's, this is probably too much on the bitter end of the spectrum.
Worth a try, to enjoy, and come to your own conclusion.

A: Pours a fairly brassy/amber color with good clarity. Carbonation is moderate, with little bubbles floating to form a khaki white head. Two fingers worth of fairly rocky foam, with moderate retention. Lacing is good.

S: Certainly smells hopped up. Lot of tropical fruit, with a touch of herbaceousness and some grapefruit undertones. Balanced with the malts, which strike me as being crystal, with some sweetness and breadiness in the mix as well.

T: Clean and crisp and straight to the point. A lot of the fruitiness in the nose is lost in the palate. It's instead replaced by a more pungent taste of herbal hoppiness. The finish is very much a lager, being clean and dry with maybe a touch of roastiness. Aftertaste of straw and milled grain.

M: Fairly light bodied, with some substance. Nothing overly wowwing about the texture.

O: Looks and smells great. Just wish they could have gotten more of the awesome fruity boquet into the taste of the beer. The lager yeast and the West Coast hop varietals don't seem to get along very well.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a standard pint glass
Chill-hazed golden color, nice, bone-white head of foam.
Aroma-Faint citrus note, distant "catty" hop note
Taste-Faint, piney hops, mellow citrus zest, light-bodied but pretty flavorfull for a lager. Would make a nice"crossover" craft brew for the newby craft beer drinker.

Pours a crystal clear light copper color with a short dense khaki colored head that left a sparse cap with some lacing on the side of the glass.

The aroma is of a nice floral hop; grapefruit and light pine come out to play as well. Bright hop aroma which makes you want to dig into this beer.

The taste is of a sweet bready malt with some honey and metallic notes. Kind of a british malt flavor. Hops are not as bright as in the flavor. I pick up more grassy notes and an apricot sweetness. There still is some grapefruit and pine though. Reminds me a bit of the Lat48 hop profile.

The feel is light with crisp carbonation. Finishes fairly clean but hard to do with the hop oils. Mostly hop bitter, on the moderate side.

A good brew, probably a hair lighter than some of the other all malt lagers out there.

12 oz bottle from 6 pack.

A - IPL? Pour a dark orange ruby with a two finer head that fades quickly. Lace hangs on side of glass.

S - grass, lemons, hops, some biscuit

T - bread, back end bitterness, very mild fruit, grass and sea salt

M - carbonation on the high side. Sharp finish.

O - nice attempt. I have never searched this combo out, and not sure it completely works, but it may open up some lager only palates out there.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pilsner.

A: Medium-dark golden hue. Lots of effervescence rising throughout and clinging persistently to the sides of the glass. Pours about a 3 finger, frothy, white head. Craters slowly and unevenly, leaving plenty of dry sticky residue as it does. Lots of thick lacing.

S: Hay toned malt. Sourdough bread, with a little pine hop.

T: Malty and biting hoppiness. A little twangy. Hard to describe....

M: Light and bitter.

D: Bitter but not enough to slow your pace.

Atmosphere is really nice. Nice hue, plenty of carbonation, great head, lots of persistent lacing. Nose is grainy and piney. Malt flavor with a biting hop, offset with something of an out-of-place twang. Overall, this is an interesting, and good quaff.

This poured out as a really nice clear copper color with a nice white head on top. The retention is pretty solid and the lacing is scattered. The smell of the beer isn't quite as hoppy as I was hoping for. The aroma is pretty mild , hops are in there but the malt and yeast take over. The taste is pretty good. There is a nice bitter flavor from start to finish with a fruity essence and earthy back bone. The mouthfeel is sharp and clean, very drinkable. Overall this is a really nice beer. It's an interesting take on what could be an Ale but made into a Lager.

Pours a clear amber with a thin, creamy off-white head. Nice lacing that clings to the glass. The smell is a hint of citrus peel. Taste begins with some toffee sweetness, followed by some some citric flavors, then a pounding of pine cones and grapefruit in the finish. Surprisingly hoppy for a SA beer. Mouthfeel is good. Overall quite a nice beer. Plenty of hop flavor here.
