Brewed sometime in late spring and drinking approximately 6 months later. Perfect amount of carbonation on the pour. Nice coffee and chocolate on the nose. Slight bourbon flavor otherwise a solid almost Russian imperial stout. Ages quite well. Would like to try again in about 5 or 6 months.

This one pours an orange tinted color that has a nice off-white head that leaves a moderate lacing down the glass.

The nose is powerful malt that reminds me more a malt liquor. The hops nose is subtle earthy and salty with hints of fructose

The taste is rough, off balanced and just not good. The finish is not clean and the remaining bitter finish is too strong and overpowering. Some notes of butter, salt, grass, ear wax.

The mouthfeel is reasonably rich and not too thick.

Overall an undrinkable beer. Makes great first impression visually but it is downhill from there.

Nose is roasted malts, coffee. Up front roasty coffee chocolate notes. Followed by subtle notes of soft bourbon and vanilla, charred oak. Slightly bitter finish. Thick, creamy, smooth body. Great beer. Very impressed.
